Outspoken Juventus patron Lapo Elkann has declared his support for Milan in the Scudetto race and sniped at Inter for “lacking class”.
Barring a monumental shift in the final three weeks Inter will be crowned champions once more.
However, Elkann is still praying that Juve's bitter rivals slip up at the 11th hour and is even willing to cheer on Milan.
“We are hoping for a miracle,” he bellowed. “We hope that Milan can overhaul Inter, even though that will be difficult.
“If that doesn't happen then we will have to just tip our hats and congratulate Inter because Juve have class unlike certain others…”
Elkann was asked to comment on the future of Juve Coach Claudio Ranieri, but he remained tight-lipped.
“It's not up to me to talk about that,” he insisted. “I am just a fan and don't have any other influence.
“If they asked me to be President of Juventus I would be honoured, but that doesn't mean I would put myself forward for that job.”
