Still young and needs time to mature. Remember C.ronaldo when he first went to united, he's not the same player that he is right now....
alexis sanchez one trick pony?

I don't know, i just don't feel he has that much end product in him. Pacy player, decent dribbler and thats about it.

Marcello (the member) can have the last laugh here as it seems. If i'm not wrong he was the one who was strongly pro-D'Agostino when most of the others were cursing Secco when we were strongly linked with D'Agostino in the winter.
The anti-D'Agostino group had as their main argument the fact that he failed in a big club (Roma) even though they ignored the fact that he was just a boy then .(he played in Roma when he was 19yo till he was 21yo).
Tbh, the main reason they didn't want him was because they expected a world class player in MC, which is normal, but the pro-group was more practical and acknowledged that a Nedved replacement and maybe a full back will take most of the transfer budget money and D'Agostino would be a great buy, concidering how we won't have money for a wc MC and how he would replace the ballerina.

Anyway, those who followed him during the season know that he is an extremly useful player, while those who don't follow him can only look at the stats and see that he is indeed playing very well :

GOALS: 9 (2nd highest scoring midfielder in serie A, after Kaka)
ASSISTS: 6 (9th in the league)
Succesful Passes: 1545 (2nd in serie A)
Passes in attack: 974 (2nd in serie A)
Successful crosses: 51 (4th in serie A)
Intercepted passes: 88 (16th in serie A)
Won tackles: 101 (1st in serie A)

Amazing. Great in offense AND defense. The best tackler in the league, great in reading the game and intercepting oposition's passes. Great passer of the ball himself, accurate crosses, great at set pieces and very good goalscorer. And he's not old at all. 26 years.
Yes i remember Marcello arguing very hardly for him in the D'Agostino thread. Indeed he has been impressive, every time i've watched Udinese he hasnt failed to impress. Though to be honest, i'm rather surprised that he has won tackles more than any other midfielder, interesting stat that one.

From what i've seen of him though, i don't think he'd excel in a 2 man central midfield like he would when played as a deep-lying playmaker with two central mids playing ahead of him.
