Bronzetti: 'Dinho wants Milan

Ernesto Bronzetti, transfer advisor to some of Europe's biggest clubs, believes Ronaldinho would like to play for Milan.

Bronzetti has become a point of reference between Barcelona and the Diavolo as the two clubs look to iron out a deal for the 28-year-old star.

Ronaldinho would be the icing on the cake,” he said. “However, he is not the solution for the ills of Milan because, let's be honest, they are well-organised in attack. I wouldn't say that he has to arrive at all costs.”

Bronzetti is wary about the asking price touted for Ronaldinho, which has been reported to be in excess of £40m.

There are some very high figures being thrown around,” he added.

There has also been speculation regarding the involvement of Nike and Inter in the transfer of the former Paris Saint-Germain attacker.

Nike sponsor both Inter and Ronaldinho, leading some to believe that they would prefer to see the Brazilian in Nerazzurri.

If Ronaldinho changes teams, he would like to wear Rossonero - with or without Nike,” concluded Bronzetti.

Inter Sign Locatelli – Italian Press :wth:

The Beneamata have been heavily criticised for the lack of Italian players in their squad, and new UEFA rules to be enforced next season will compel them into some native investment.

In the 2008/09 Champions League, all 25-man squads will have to include four players who grew up in the club’s youth system, as well as another four who are that club’s nationality.

This puts Inter in a predicament and has forced them to change their transfer policy.

According to press reports, Inter have come to an agreement to sign Siena playmaker Tomas Locatelli, who will turn 32 in June.

Locatelli was one regarded as one of Italy’s most promising young talents back in the mid-1990s, earning himself a move from youth club Atalanta to AC Milan.

However he never developed as expected, and despite winning two Italy caps in the late 1990s, he has spent the present decade shared between Bologna, and current club Siena.

If confirmed the transfer of Locatelli is certain to draw criticism from those who say that the player has only been signed in order to help fill their Italian quota for next season’s Champions League.

Briatore backs Soros for Roma

Having become one of many foreign investors in English football, QPR owner Flavio Briatore feels it would be positive for George Soros to buy Roma.

Some sections of the media, politics and players such as Francesco Totti have publicly criticised the possibility the Sensi family could sell their shares to millionaire Soros.

“I think it is a positive thing,” insisted Briatore. “It shows that our country is appetising and that maybe the atmosphere has changed.

“It is possible that in turn gives the idea that the rules will change, too. If someone wants to invest in Italy it is a good sign. It means people have faith in the system.”

Unlike the Premiership, none of the Serie A clubs have a majority shareholder from overseas.
