I just finished watching a Juve-Lazio game 4 years back. Back then we had this guy called Kapo. He was quite impressive, he set up the winning goal with some brilliant skills and was really impressing the entire game.

I actually forgot about him, did we sell him back to the French league or do we somehow still have him co-owned or on loan to somewhere? I was very surprised we got rid of this guy.

Another player is Stephan Appiah who I thought was a terrific midfielder, who did we sell this guy to?

was kapo ever any good?
I don't recall him playing much for us but I caught this Juve-Lazio game 4 years back and he came on as an Oliveira replacement because he and Nedved were injured. He played for the entire second half and he was our best player. I think with Nedved back then, he didn't have too many chances to shine.

He's def. a talented player, but he never really got his chance.

Soros to make Roma 'new Man U'

Amid reports George Soros wants to turn Roma into a world-renowned marketing brand, the club issues another denial of negotiations.

The newspapers in Italy are confident American-based millionaire Soros will buy out the Giallorossi over the next few weeks.

While so far the talk has been about transfer policy, the Gazzetta dello Sport now suggests he plans to revamp their merchandising policy.

Italian clubs do not generally sell many products with their brand name aside from the basics such as football jerseys.

Soros, it is reported, would like to transform Roma into a Manchester United-style world-renowned brand in the European, U.S and South American markets.

It was also reported this morning in several newspapers that a crunch meeting with Soros will take place next week.

This is because on April 30 the deadline for the loan from bank Unicredit worth £258m is due and it is claimed the financial institution called in the Sensi family to understand their intentions.

However, in the afternoon Roma released another statement categorically denying there was a link between the debt with Unicredit and “any presumed necessity to sell our controlling share of A.S. Roma. There is no meeting due with Unicredit and anyone suggesting otherwise is attempting to adversely affect the price of the shares.”

Milan set Ronaldinho ultimatum

Spanish newspapers claim Milan have set an ultimatum to Barcelona – accept £10m for the player or abandon negotiations.

So far the Rossoneri have baulked at the demands for the Brazilian player, said to be in the region of £40m.

Although FIFA agent and Milan go-between Ernesto Bronzetti has publicly stated “Barca usually ask for at least double their real target,” even £20m is considered too steep after Dinho’s dismal campaign.

They have the will of the player on their side, as personal terms have already been agreed with Milan and Ronaldinho has made no secret of his desire to join the Club World Cup winners.

With this in mind, and Barca risking losing the Liga title to Real Madrid after last night’s 2-0 defeat to Deportivo La Coruna, the Rossoneri are backing them into a corner.

Catalan newspaper Sport today claims that a new and final offer of £10m for Ronaldinho has been tabled, along with the absolute assertion there will not be a penny more.

Although clubs such as Manchester City have offered considerably more for the Brazilian, his heart is set on Milan and attempting to force him into a move to the Premier League could spark a legal battle.

After all, Ronaldinho could in theory cite FIFA’s Article 17 and extricate himself from his contract for just over £10m and all involved want to avoid such drastic action.

Article 17 allows players to unilaterally break a contract after their “protected period” expires – after three years if they signed when under the age of 28 and two years if they put pen to paper when older.

The buy-out clause is calculated based on the original transfer fee and wages.
