No, the situation with Roma is different than it was with Milan.
If Roma win the CL the 3rd place won't be a must win because 3rd and 4th will still be the same and we'll have to play the CL qualifications in any case, no matter if we end 3rd or 4th.
Italy can not be represented by more than 4 teams in CL. Usually the teams placed from 1st-4th place in the standings play in CL but if the CL winner is a team outside top 4 then that team plays CL next year and takes the place of the 4th placed team.
That's why the situation with Milan was different. Because if they ended 5th and won the CL then the 4th placed team would have been transfered to UEFA Cup and top3 finish would have been a must for us in order to play CL, or at least CLQ.
