Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni has endorsed the popular opinion that Inter Milan will run away with the Scudetto.
The fomer Fiorentina striker believes it is still too early for Juventus to challenge for the title, and that Milan's lack of consistency will be their Achilles heel.
"I say that Inter will win it as they have the best squad - they are just superior," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Milan have top-class players too who can win big games, but they are less consistent.
"It’s too soon for Juve, the best that they can achieve is the Champions League zone."
He was also restless to get going in Germany ahead of the Bundesliga kick-off this weekend: "I feel at home and I want to get going."
The big number 9 also rubbished suggestions that he could find himself out of the Azzurri squad.
"Do I fear not being noticed by Roberto Donadoni? No, he has already shown that he takes foreign-based players into account and I play for Bayern, a famous side.
"If I play and I score, I’ll get the Italy call and I want to go to the friendly against Hungary on August 22. I’ve been working hard to recover from a calf injury and in a couple of days’ time I should be ready to play."
