Damn, Fiorentina are getting all the luck in the world. They were given two inexistant penalties in last round and today, at 0:0 in 85th minute this happens:

One of the strangest goals of Adrian Mutu's career put Fiorentina on their way to this local derby victory.

The deadlock was finally broken five minutes from time. Having had a dreadful game so far, Mutu scored almost by accident, as Marzoratti's attempted clearance ricocheted in off his face!
Viola haven't been playing well this year from what I've seen. They have indeed needed a lot of luck to get the points on a bunch of occasions.

I think the scary thought is what if Fiorentina and Milan were playing to their utmost ability? Where exactly would we be laying?

5th, for sure.

Then again, even before the championship started i don't think someone here doubted that Inter, Roma and Milan have (much) stronger teams than Juve. Since the very beginning it was, at least for me, between Juventus and Fiorentina for the 4th place.
Now, we were lucky that Mutu got injured for a month and Fiorentina didn't win a single match of the 5 matches during Mutu's injury, but we were also very unlucky with our injuries.
We can ask what would have happened if Fiorentina played better, but also we can ask what would have happened if we didn't have Camoranesi injured all the time, Andrade injured for the season and 2-3 players injured in front of every single match.
Plus some dubious calls by the refs

That is true Alen, but we have been rescued by some dubious calls as well in a few matches.
