The Serie A football association have also announced the schedule for the next TIM Cup (Coppa Italia). The competition will begin at the start of August and draw to a close at the end of May.
The opening three elimination rounds will be played on three Sundays in August - 7th, 14th and 21st. The competition will resume in November, with the fourth round to be played between Thursday 24th and Tuesday 29th.
Between the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 the top eight clubs in Serie A will enter the competition, Juventus included. The last sixteen will be played between Thursday 8th December, Tuesday 13th December and Wednesday 11th January.
Wednesday 25th January has been selected as the date for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals will be played as a two-legged affair, with the first-leg to be contested on 8th February and the second-leg scheduled for 21st March. The final will be a single encounter played on Sunday 20th May, with Wednesday pencilled in as potential reserve date.
