Since we don't have European trophy to play for this season, I say let's take Coppa more seriously this time, and it's about bloody time we got the Silver Star, dammit!
Roma is catching up too, they won their 8th Coppa last season, we got 9 of 'em.

So, anybody has any info on when does our Coppa compaign start?

I believe it should be a lil' earlier than usual, since we're "just promoted".

Forza Juve!

it's about time Juve took this competition seriously...they have started to ignore it recently and we should restore our prestigious record in Coppa Italia...and another Stella always looks good ;)

It was understandable to ignore it, even if I didin't agree with them doing it, when we had bigger fish to fry. However, without the CL, we should field a decent team in it next year.

Every supporter want his team to win such a prestigious pricebut the board will be more happy with a 4th place, 'cause CL football means more then a Coppa Italia for them;)

Coppa: 2007-08 draw done Wednesday 25 July, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The draw for the new-look Coppa Italia has been made and Juventus will face Parma in the Third Round.

The tournament has ben revamped to try and recapture the public’s attention in the wake of poor attendances and thinning TV audiences.

This year there will be no Serie C sides involved. There will be 42 entrants – every side from the top two tiers – with the first three rounds and the Final being single matches instead of two-legged contests.

Napoli and Genoa will have to play in the First Round as they finished second and third in Serie B last term, but Juventus move straight through to the Third Round.

The Third Round also sees Serie A sides who finished between ninth and 17th enter the fray. The only two clashes already definite see Juve face Parma and Cagliari play Siena on August 29.

Last season’s winners Roma enter the competition in the Fourth Round along with those sides that finished in the top seven in the top flight.

The opening round sees Chievo and Ascoli brought down to earth with ties against newly-promoted Ravenna and Avellino respectively.

The Final will take place on May 24 2008 with a venue yet to be decided.

First Round

Rimini – Frosinone
Treviso - Lecce
Messina – Vicenza
Bari – Albinoleffe
Bologna – Modena
Triestina – Mantova
Piacenza – Spezia
Ravenna – Chievo
Genoa – Grosseto
Napoli - Cesena
Avellino – Ascoli
Napoli – Cesena
Pisa - Brescia

Ties to be played August 15.

Coppa: Juve open fourth round
Tuesday 13 November, 2007
Juventus will open the fourth round of the Coppa Italia by travelling to Empoli on December 6, while Lazio welcome Napoli on December 19.

The fixture list for the last 16 has finally been released and this competition will be spread out over several days.

This is because Lazio, Inter, Roma and Cagliari have to play their Serie A Week 12 games, postponed on Sunday due to crowd trouble.

Both Inter-Lazio and Roma-Cagliari have been rescheduled for December 5 at 7.30pm UK time.

It is a two-leg round, but the dates of the second legs have not yet been confirmed.

Kick-off times for the first legs are also still up in the air and will only be decided after consultation with the television companies.

Thursday December 6
Empoli-Juventus

Tuesday December 11
Ascoli-Fiorentina

Wednesday December 12
Cagliari-Sampdoria

Wednesday December 19
Lazio-Napoli
Reggina-Inter
Torino-Roma
Udinese-Palermo

Thursday December 20
Milan-Catania

Looks like if we get past Empoli, we are meeting Inter. They're 0-2 away at Reggina.

And Roma (our closest rival in Coppa) lost away to Torino 3-1 :pint:
