damn. i didnt expect palermo to lose badly.
It was a freak game. Udinese haven't been nearly as good of late, and Palermo has been far better. I wouldn't expect much of a repeat for either team next weekend.

I’m leaving Inter, says Emre Tuesday 15 March, 2005

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Emre Belozoglu has revealed that he intends to quit Inter and Italian football at the end of this season.

"I’ve told the club officials that I will leave in June because I want to play in a different European country," he told Turkish television.

"I have received offers from Spanish and English clubs and I hope that something concrete develops in one of these two nations.

"A return to Turkey? I will only come back if I fail to secure a move elsewhere," he added.

The Turkish international joined the San Siro outfit in the summer of 2001 after four seasons at Galatasaray.

However, the 24-year-old has failed to get a regular game with the Nerazzurri despite displaying touches of brilliance at times.

The pint-sized midfielder is actually tied to the Italian side until June 2007 but he’s praying that he will be released.

"I still have two-and-a-half years to run on my deal here but I hope there will be no problems," he added.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with Emre in the past.

Maldini will face Roma Tuesday 15 March, 2005

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan captain Paolo Maldini is confident that he will be fit enough to face Roma on Sunday.

The legendary stopper limped out of the 1-0 win over Sampdoria with a knee injury, but he’s sure that he’ll soon be back.

"I’m feeling OK," he told Milan Channel. "The pain which I felt during the Sampdoria game was not a new one.

"Having played so many games and on poor pitches, it is only normal that the odd injury returns.

"I simply came off as soon as possible as we were in a game that we really needed to win. It wouldn’t have been right to continue."

The former Italian international is expected to miss the Coppa Italia trip to Udinese on Wednesday.

However, boss Carlo Ancelotti should have him available for the Giallorossi clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, Pavel Nedved will resume training with Juventus later today after recovering from a head injury.

The Czech ace has been sidelined for three weeks after being knocked unconscious in the 1-0 first leg Champions’ League defeat at Real Madrid.

He should at least start on the bench for the Week 29 clash against Reggina at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

+ the suspension of Totti makes it more likely that Milan will defeat Roma. I don't know if the new coach will handle his players well, so I think Milan should win.

Dont be so pessimistic, but that I'm feeling any happy about helping Juve and I still want Milan to win the Scudetto but Milan will find us very difficult to beat, surely you know what happens in football when the odds are stacked against you, and normally when a new coach comes in it gives the inputus to do well...how many times to coaches win there first games because of the boast it gives the players???
