Capello: what a record

Fabio Capello is the first manager winning a championship shield in three different cities: Milan (with A.C.Milan, four shields), Rome and Turin. Managers who won in two different cities are:

Veisz:
1929/30 (Bologna)

1935/36 and 1936/37 (Bologna)

Bernardini:
1955/56 (Fiorentina)

1963/64 (Bologna)

Trapattoni:
6 shields with Juventus and Inter (1988/89)

Liedholm:
1978/79 (Milan)

1982/83 (Roma)

Furthermore, the coach achieved shield victory on his first year as bianconero: skillfulness showed in the past by:

Carcano 1930/31
Bertolini-Sarosi 1951/52
Brocic 1957/58
Trapattoni 1976/77
Lippi 1994/95

A champions’ centenary

A hundred years have passed….but we’re still the same! A hundred years ago Juventus won its first Italian title, on April 9th 1905, today wins its 28th championship shield.

A well celebrated birthday, then, where we want to pay tribute to the pioneers: Armano, Durante, Mazzia, Walty, Goccione, Diment, Barberis, Varetti, Forlano, Squair, Donna, Ferraris, Mario. Here’s the listing of 1905, the first generation of bianconeri champions.

Don't ask me why I stuck in there. If it wasn't for the fact that Milan was fielding a team of reserves at Palermo and that a draw could mean the Scudetto...

Palermo was showing nothing of any life, then all of a sudden...
I'll watch the rerun of the match :D

I gave up after the first half was over and went to chill with some friends. Then my brother SMSed me like 5 times congratulating me :D

Good job Palermo :)

The city of Palermo loves us too, btw. ;) There's a huge fan base for Juventus down in Sicily, and reports had it that there was quite an extra bit of celebration by the local fans with the Rosaneri's draw today because it handed Juve the scudetto. :thumb:

Serie A commentator of ESPN Brasil is descendant of italians and he's father team was Palermo. But Palermo never won any major trophy, so Silvio Lancelotti is a Juventus and Palermo fan.

I think that's why Juve have a good fanbase in Palermo...

The relegation battle for this season is truly interesting. I can't wait to see which team will be eliminated.

Did anyone catch the end of the Palermo-Milan match on TV? All of Milan's "bench" (i.e., their starters for the CL final held in reserve) came out at the end of the game to share the love with the reserves on the pitch. So the "bench" team is all wearing street clothes - e.g., Kaka in some black, short-sleeved shirt looking like he just came over after a night of all-night club partying, etc.

But then there's Sheva. The guy is wearing this freakish tan-colored jacket with epaulets and all sorts of straps of fabric hanging off of it. I know the guy is from the Ukraine and all, but he's a friggin' millionaire living in Milan with a hot wife! What is the guy doing walking around in some cheesy-looking, 1980s Members Only(tm) jacket he bought for 10 hryvnias off some guy who smells like fish at a Kharkov flea market?
