Do you not think the RSA was occupied and then split and imprisoned and separated?
Perhaps, but the divide there was always racial and not nationality based. And it was a clear minority oppressing a vastly larger population (unlike here) where there was never any diving lines on the ground, just color of skin.
What you may call aparthied, and i'll call occupation, oppression or discrimination, is cause we have conflicting national identities and goals, not cause they are brown pepole.

Also, how many whites were killed during the black resistance to aparthired? How many terror attacks? Zero.
That's another reason for some masures taken that have nothing to do with race but are thrown on the aparthied argument.

National identity based on faith/ethnicity rather than culture does lead to the worst kind of nationalism though

From time to time I did browse some Israeli TV talk show, and sometimes the discourse they have was shocking and did surprise me tbh. But I do know, not everyone think that way

That makes sense. I can appreciate that take. Where are you headed that you missed your flight?
Macedonia, work. the first flight got delayed and landed in Vienna as the connection took off.

Whole heartedly agree, it is what it is, unfortunately. Though there is a quite distinct Israeli culture at this point but on the creation of that culture you are not wrong. Add to that past traumas and it's a dangerous combination.
The tragic part is that all of that applies to both sides here and that's why this conflict might be endless.

We are a racist country to an extant, not denying that. Some sectors more then others. I just argue that racism in itself is not the actual reason for oppression/occupation of Palestine so I think Israeli apartheid is a fallacy.

Anyway racisim is making a comeback, we are just ahead of the curve a bit.

What’s going on in Israel? Is this some sort of coup or collapse going on?

Beebee is trying to force through a law that would make it hard to declare a leader unfit, repealed a law from 2005 preventing new settlements in the West Bank, has Ben Gavir on staff, who is a literal Nazi disguised as an Israeli, or a worse-Israeli, and there have been uprisings by a bunch of the army because of the first one.

And today he fired his Defense Minister. He's Trump, but is a Nazi and not just a narcissist.

As usual, the British are to blame for this mess. They’ve created most of the messes we see in geopolitics today.
The Middle East as a whole, yes, but I blame us more than I blame the Brits for Israel.

Not a coup, just massive protests and strikes all over the country.

A very right-wing coalition was formed, due to luck, popularism and a stupid vote counting system. They were able to get a 64 majority in a 120 parliament (extremely rare to have a coalition with more than 61). Seeing this type of absolute majority will likely never happen again, this unholy trinity of parties decided this is the only window to pass a very far-reaching judicial reforms ala Hungary/Poland. Each for their own political/ideological goals.

In short without going into the fine details of the reform, the end results will be massive harm to the separation of powers in the country and the ability of the high courts to oversee and limit the actions of the government.

So far it seems like a massive political blunder by this coalition, the backlash is unprecedented in the country's history. They are most likely scrambling at the moment to find a ladder to get down from this tree.

Do you think there will be a coup? It always starts this way

Can't see it coming to that. Even if possible, it wont actually be like the classical coup with tanks in the streets. it will be over in 30 minutes.

The PM will give a speech tonight, probably saying they have decided to put on hold the reforms while they will work on reaching a wide agreement with the opposition.
I'm quite optimistic, this coalition will probably fall apart in a few months if they fail to pass the reforms and the right will not get back in power for a very long time.

Hopefully a coup by the Palestinians.
