I'll explain.
People want to get supplies to Gaza, which happens to be surrounded by angry Israelis on all sides accept the Egyptian side and the side that borders the sea. Egypt deems it illegal to bring goods into Gaza from Egypt. Israel certainly won't allow relief into Gaza.
The protesters/activists/heroes decide to stick it to both parties by attempting something deemed illegal by both Israel and Egypt. An act of civil disobedience. And as we all know sometimes those acts are punished.
You say the "humanitarians" are not comparable to protesters. Yet, aside from the primary action of relieving Gaza, the activists (as they deem themselves) actions do exactly that.
That's my only point Fred. It's a simple one.
