I saw on TV some injured people who came back from Egypt, and they were totally shocked with the very bad treatment there. The Egyptian police was threatening them to hit them on their injured organs or throw them to dogs if they don't tell them where Hamas hides its main leaders.

Btw, Haneya is somewhere in Syria no? I hear other important leaders are no more in Gazza. Don't know if that's true.

The funny thing is, its obviously dictatorship (even if the west led by US, have the nerve to call a democratic country run by a president...), so you cant really hold your average egyptian, who is totally sympathetic to Palestine usually, responsible for what those crooks of a govt do.

As I said it before, Mubarak is on overdrive being US's most anxious lapdog, because he needs their continued support even more to mkae his son his successor.

They can't arrest more, mate. It will make a bigger scandal for them inside Egypt. They are trying to put obstacles in front of anybody who tries to offer something to Gaza just to scare other people who think of doing that in the future.

Juve red: Either way, Egyptian govt is allways about protecting the interest of Mubarak, so its ALLWAYS a case of protecting its on ass, with little disregard to its citizens. And mostly its about obeying whatever the US says ofcourse, torturing whoever they want etc. Because they are the only reason, and only ones who enable them to stay in power (can never be a democracy aslong as they have US support).

They tried to stop Hamas from being democratically elected the same way).

BBC refuses airtime to Gaza aid appeal


The BBC has refused to broadcast a national humanitarian appeal for Gaza, leaving aid agencies with a potential shortfall of millions of pounds in donations.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), an umbrella group for 13 aid charities, launched its appeal yesterday saying the devastation in Gaza was "so huge British aid agencies were compelled to act".

But the BBC made a rare breach of an agreement dating to 1963, saying it would not give free airtime to the appeal. Other broadcasters followed suit. Previously, broadcasters had agreed on the video and script to be used with the DEC, to be shown after primetime news bulletins.

The BBC, which has been criticised in the past over alleged bias in its coverage of the Middle East, said it did not want to risk public confidence in its impartiality. A BBC spokesperson said: "The decision was made because of question marks about the delivery of aid in a volatile situation and also to avoid any risk of compromising public confidence in the BBC's impartiality in the context of [a] news story."

The DEC's chief executive, Brendan Gormley, said: "We are totally apolitical ... this appeal is a response to humanitarian principles. The BBC seems to be confusing impartiality with equal airtime."

DEC appeals have recently raised £10m for the Congo and £18m for Burma.

An ITV spokesman said the broadcasters, after assessing the DEC's needs, had been unable "to reach a consensus necessary for an appeal".

Sky said: "By convention, if all broadcasters do not carry the appeal, then none do. The decision was effectively made for us."

Me, I am but an insular Westerner with a somewhat average intelligence, unable to pick a side. Im a dumb kuffar, a clueless goyem, so what Im about to say is in line with my condition I guess, but here it comes anyway : bollocks and more bollocks! This shit has nothing to do with missiles, Hamas, Israel, Palestine, various occupations throughout the ages, the Holocaust, the diaspora, 1948, the UN, the US, or any kind of religion or religious differences. Those are just a series of asides. The truth is, you'd be fighting no matter what. You've been at it for 5000 years or more. Since the second generation from your common ancestor, Abraham. You're all claiming retaliation. You're never going to stop, and you've managed to drag most of the world into your intrafamily squabble. See where Im getting at? No? Well then, allow me to rephrase, for the sake of clarity. In a nutshell, I guess that what Im trying to say, my dear Palestisraelis, is that....you're a bunch of fucking cunts.

But guess what, cunts, I have a solution. "We" should just close that whole place off to human habitation and make everybody leave their weapons behind as they go. No excuses.
