Yes, I read your post when you wrote it and I even then I thought there was something in it. Then came this article that has sane and to-the-point analysis.

Fuck that, I miss it there and I really want to go.
You should cancel for the time being if you ask me Jack. It really is not worth the risk, you should give it a while, till things are safe, then visit.

I wouldnt take the chance. The rockets that were shot from south Lebanon into Israel DEFENITELY reeks of false flag, meaning a staged action of a faction that want to start an invasion by inventing a "they attacked us" scenario. You would be astounded how common such a thing is.
False flag operations probably happen more than we think.

I don't know what to define as family :)

My wife is with me in Swden.

My parents are in Lebanon.

My brother is everywhere :D
That's what i meant, parents and brothers/sisters.

If they do attack Lebanon, is it going to be something similar as 2006, when more than 80% of the bombings took place in the south of the country? I didn't really follow the situation in 2006 but i guess the south of Lebanon was where Hezbollah was so that's why most of the attacks were there. How's the situation today, is Hezbollah still in the south?

According to what I remember, a huge amount of the bombing was in the south part of the capital Beirut.

Mostly in the south but they hit many parts of the Beirut where Hizbolla have their headquarters.

I know many people travelling there around this time. In April you say? If things go well we'll talk about it when the dates get closer.

Martyrs die for a cause. They died for nothing. They're not martyrs, they're people who should never have been killed in the first place.
    How's that Andries?

They died for not leaving their place and for believing in their homeland which is a cause of course. They're Martyrs.

Haytham that article is scary. I'm shitting my pants...Just yesterday we got us a pair of tickets to Lebanon in April and it's been three years for me that I haven't been there. Shall I cancel?
Nah you go. It'll be alright.

It was more like 60% in the South and 40% in Beirut. Hezbollah aren't only in the South, It's not like they have a base over there. Most of the fightings happens there because thats where they get to clash on ground. And because they can't make it into other areas.

All in all, Hezbollah are everywhere when It's required.

My parents, sister, grandparents are all in Lebanon except for me. Things are still calm and quite there.

When I was there things were also calm.

Hezbollah is probably all over the place now. Did you guys see the crowd Nasrallah drew last week in Beirut? They seem to be stronger than ever before.
I'll tell you a secret, my cousin is Nasrallah's chief security. I'm sure you've seen him. Whoever follows "Manar" channel can always see him.

    Holy shit, that is hardcore.

Do you speak with him regularly or not so much?
Very often(on the phone mostly, can't see him that much), but only when I'm in Lebanon. He called me one day before the 2006 summer war, asking me to leave my place because it's going to be a target and he announced me that war will take place. Man, it was right after Italy won the WC, and I was only 2days in Lebanon. I barely saw my relatives.

Anyway, we never talk when I'm in Romania, he doesn't speak on the phone.

I know you miss Lebanon and you really want to go there, but I wouldn't take the risk Jack. Perhaps the situation is all different in April, but if it's not you risk losing money or even more than that if you do go.
