For all those who voted that Hamas is a terrorist organization:
From the Palestinian viewpoint:
Before this war, Hamas was seen as an organization that represents some radical Islamic group in Palestine.
After this war, Hamas is seen as the only one party that tries to defend the civilian people of Gaza.

The problem here or the sad thing to be more specific, is that people keep hoping, asking, blaming, requesting, calling Arab countries to interfere when it's obvious that this will never happen. Never. At least this is what I know from history and from what I've seen.
In Lebanon almost 25 1973-1989 war between the Lebanese vs Syrians and Lebanese vs Palestinians and Lebanese vs Israeli..... The only times Arab countries interfered was the time they killed our men, financed too many Militias, armed young men..... from Lybia, Egypt, Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran and the list goes on.
In 2006, 33 days war vs Israel, the so supposed allies (Iran-Syria) to help were hiding under the table negotiating with the Israel and Americans. Everyone was watching, not that we needed an Arab country to help.
So what I've learned throughout all these years is that you do things on your own, no country will help even If you're Muslim just like them or Christian just like them. You free your land with your heart and hands and head, not waiting for someone or for a country to do this job because It'll never happen.
And incase they do it, doesn't mean they did it for you. Arabs should get over it because an Arab unit is never going to happen....

I remember a few years back when we had some Israeli members on the forum (mnementh comes to mind) who had some quite spirited debates with ReBeL and others here. We are hearing pretty much one side of the argument here, so to make things a bit interesting, I found this and will post it, the opinion from the other side-

Actually she's spot on. It's not part of the discussion here and I don't think we should look deeper into it, but from that definition he does qualify. Just like a lot of Catholic leaders qualified. But even so, I don't think it's important today, unless of course people are going to follow that example (and in doing so they would not understand the historical and political climate the Prophet was in).
What is relevant and very, very annoying is the lack of true international response. I'm actually studying international law right now and I'm very well aware of the difficulties the various sanction mechanisms face, but there should, at the very least, be some action towards Israel. I mean, even if they could claim they're acting in self defense (which is already difficult), the amount of violence used is not acceptable.
I understand the caution, as pretty much all important countries on the globe have accepted Israel and feel there's something just not quite right with Hamas, but this complete lack of response is very odd.
