in a nut shell, socialist nationalistic sentiment in germany rose after the failings and humiliation following world war I, internally as not everyone was behind the war effort, especially the jewish community which after the balfour declaration chose religious allegiance over national. Hitler used this among other things to rally the german people, in his speech it's pretty clear that he wanted no interference from those same forces once again. But nowhere was it mentioned that something as radical as a holocaust would take place one can argue that nazis didnt have a a clear "exit strategy" for the jewish problem; on one hand they wanted to rid germany of all forces that wouldnt align with the system on the other they cant quite reeducate them so they decided to move them to madagascar using british navy(britain was on the brink of armistice when the resolution was passed in the budestag) as that didnt happen and more important things were facing nazi germany the less cumbersome solution was picked. Point is Nazisn and Zionism are ideologically very similar, there are many documents of contact and alliance brokering between the 2 both before and after the war had started. not to mention both had the same exact purpose: drive jews out of Germany. So it's very plausible that facilitation was provided on the part of the zionist or as a catalyst to convince those well off jews to move to israel.

you said somewhere in the beginning you dont know much about the subject, i think your ignorance has outstayed its welcome around here
I think it is a question that still needs answering.
Does it really make a difference? Palestinians still would have elected Hamas and the international community would then decide that Hamas is a terrorist organization and that its not legit. So much for the much advocated democracy.
So then the Israelis still would have elected their government and not the Muslim one?

You can only draw a parallel here if Palestinians allowed a Jewish party in their country.

fred, yeah, if the party we are taking about is hamas, who are idiots. what i am trying still to figure out is if they are bigger idiots than israel
Such a dilemma, i mean ya Israel killed more than 800 people. A large percentage of them whom are civilians but Hamas is a terrorist organization, isnt it?

Since we're talking about electing governments. The Palestinians elected Hamas as their government, why dont you think about that?

I did, and it was stupid, just as electing Bush was.
Nobody overthrew Bush, did they? He was elected and served his election period, Hamas didn't. Big difference.

We already did.

In a stupid war.
And how many Iraqi lives were lost in that so called "stupid war" ?

Just trying to point out that Hamas are no more a terrorist organization than the US government or the Israeil government

no you can only draw a parallel when a Jewish party was to be banned in Palestine...as far as I know there isn't one in Palestine
