For those who don't know...

A cease fire is a temporary stoppage of any armed conflict, where each side of the conflict agrees with the other to suspend aggressive actions. Ceasefires may be declared as part of a formal treaty, but they have also been called as part of an informal understanding between opposing forces.

The fact we have a lobbyist group for Israel and Presidential candidates need to speak there before elections is really telling I think. That should be unacceptable as when people are sworn into office they must reject serving foreign governments.

There is only one question I have then: If they are that powerful, why haven't they wiped Palestine and Iran and all the other countries they hate off the face of the Earth?

The cluster bombs in question are made with uranium pellets. That is mainstream media and somebody posted about it in this thread pages back.
Ohhhh, Depleted Uranium pellets? OHHHHH.....

I forgot they were extremely radioactive.

"Depleted uranium munitions are controversial because of unanswered questions about potential long-term health effects. DU is less toxic than other heavy metals such as arsenic and mercury, and is only very weakly radioactive because of its long half-life. [...] he byproduct of enrichment, called depleted uranium or DU, contains less than one third as much U-235 and U-234 as natural uranium."

It's not nearly as bad as they make it out to be, and in most cases, especially in the weaponry tanks fire, the Uranium is incinerated and no longer exists. The problem is that the GAU-8A weapons systems and other Gatling-type weapons will fire 300 rounds and only have a 10% accuracy rating.

Also:

"While any radiation exposure has risks, no conclusive epidemiological data have correlated DU exposure to specific human health effects such as cancer."

Not between the cease fire and when Israel broke the cease fire.
Sounds like a load of hogwash to me!

Boycotting Coca-Cola, Levi's Jeans, Johnson&Johnson, Nestle and other products will make a small difference for these companies. They will still work with huge profit.
But it will make a huge difference for Saffet from Bursa (Turkey) who owns a general store, Ahmed from Alexandria (Egypt) who owns a department store, Jusuf from Padang (Indonesia) who owns a grocery store or Adnan from Sarajevo (Bosnia) who has a mini-market.

Enron explained it much better than I, although we had the same points.
Too bad nobody cares about that, as we have no interests in those areas.
Wait, don't we like Oil?

Doesn't Sudan have 10% of the world's oil reserves?

Except when atrocities happen in Africa. Then it doesn't matter.
It matters wherever it happens. Unfortunately human lives are not equal. The only thing humans are are equal in is death

Boycotting is probably the most useless and pointless thing one can do.
one person boycotting doesn't make a differenece, but if enough people do it, and words spreads around, the seed of doubt is planted and the negative publicity hurts.
