I think you're interpreting our reaction as saying that Iran isn't worth visiting or that Iranian people are dangerous. That's not the issue.
It's just that the Iranian regime does in fact have nationals from Western Europe or the US arrested for no reason so they can exchange them for Iranian criminals. This is not one isolated case, it's not two, it's not three. It's a strategy the Iranian regime has been following for a very long time now. Under those circumstances it's not wise to go. The likelihood of being arrested is smaller than the likelihood of returning safely, but it's nowhere near purely hypothetical. And if you're held your life might be over. No country is worth that risk.
