There has always been issue of secession and the activities of ethnic separatist groups in Iran.
Baloch and Kurd are two ethnics that they have been deprived from their rights but Azeris are not subjected to such ethnic discrimination, and they hold most government positions. I'm Baloch ethnically. But ethnic independence is not possible in general, meaning that they have their own independent country and politics.
