yall need to ease up on ReBel, u have to understand that this man's land was taken from him and he was kicked out of his own country and now is living as a refuge thanks to isreal...and he may never be back to his land again in his life time

as far as isreal it wont last forever, their end will be met too and also usa and europeans supporting them wont rule the world forever...all great empires such as roman, chinese, and persian have met their end so will the usa

Agreed, that is why I am building my own all-conquering empire based in Cuba. Once Fidel dies, I will bomb the living shit out of every country that I don't like. Hold on to your assholes sister, it's going to get ugly.

question for those familiar with the situation... this is from hizballah site(used in wikipedia), recruits being sworn in... is this the nazi salute ?

Stop being ignorant man, that just the picture because pictures are motionless. That is just a frame of the whole "salute" (for lack of better word). Shiite's raise their hands in the air like than, strike their chests, and then lower their arms. All in one motion together with no stopping in the middle....If I am not mistaken its just a gesture of flagellation on the day of Ashura when Al-Husain was murdered.

Well said KingAle. How are the Iranian media reporting the situation? Is it just Israel bashing, or is there some criticism against Hezbollah in the newspapers?
The Iranian state media will never criticize the Iranian government, and if any media ever gives a totally objective view of these issues they won't exist for much longer. There won't be any direct critique against the Hezbollah's actions, but certain things can not be hidden, so they include only as little as they have to.

Fortunately there are many Iranians, such as King Ale, who through internet and satellite TV do have access to more liberal Iranian media, broadcasted and published abroad.

Oh comon guys, he didn't really say anything wrong! Civilizations prosper and crumble. Maybe you see it remote now, but you can't deny it could happen 100, 200, or a 1000 years away.

exactly like what Rami said. Every civilization rises and falls. we Armenians had an empire before but it got wiped out and then the genocide happened and we were screwed. Everyone learns from their mistakes. But newer orginisations and goverments are formed and more corrupt people join and once again, before you know it, the country is in turmoil. Back to the Armenian topic, Turkey has to pay the price(paying money to the cypriots, giving the armenian mountain Ararat and its soil back etc..) to the E.U so that it joins and works with them for the benifit of its country.

Yes, well, the Roman Empire was a solid entity for a good thousand years and the United States have only been a superpower forabout 50 years. I don't see how this is relevant at all.

In due time my friend. Nothing is relevant at all, someone just pointed out that countries will fall and that's it.

Sorry, I was not trying to disagree. Of Course I agree that nobody can rule for ever, but I was being serious about my ambition to launch from Cuba. It has always been my desire to become a Latin American strong man, and as a Caudillo I will attack the USA, I will attack Iran, I will attack Isreal - in fact any country that is causing shit will feel my wrath. That is a warning for Northern Ireland every July 12th.

I think he's just too lazy to discuss the matters at the momment or his mood isn't right for serious talks.

But He made some pretty calm and good explanations in the 'pathetic democracy' thread about the palestinians side of things. I mean that thread is just filled with the history of the palestinian - israeli conflict. He elaborated quite much and is probably tired to write again about everything.

Its much easier for us outsiders to talk about these things with a clear head. Both Rebel and mnementh are at the core of the conflict so it must be a much more sensitive issue for them. Its also very emotional.

Don't get me wrong, Im not a neutral, after having read many of the news and facts from both sides, I've become sympathetic towards the palestinian cause and very much more disturbed with the leaders/government of both Israel and the US in this conflict.
    Thanks, mate...

    Much appreciated...

Rebel my friend, try and not to mock mnementh's opinions or answers. I am astonished he has not done the same for the past 2 days. Bravo to that.
    Thanks fro the advice, Ed...

I think I got my share of warnings in this thread, and I'm out of it...

    Thanks again...

I'm totally ignorant about how (un)free the Iranian media are. I figured they weren't really free.

It's a fascinating country you live in. It's my dream to travel through Iran, and then continue to Samarkand, on the silk road. I'll do i one day!
