Is this right? Boniperti has 178 or 179? (1 Viewer)

178 Giampiero Boniperti

So does that mean that if Del Piero scores 8 more goals now, as hes at 171, that he will hold the record, or is this information wrong, and Boniperti's record is 179?

I heard Gino Stacchini (a Juventus player of Boniperti's era) say that they didn't really care about european competitions and they didn't like travelling by plane to play those matches. So the sooner they got eliminated, the better
