I'm watching Fox Football Phone-In on FSC, and the question of the day is whether or not you think the FA Cup is the "most Prestigious" cup competition in the world. Thus far nine people have said yes, while three people said no. The show is put on by two Englishmen, one of which is Nick Webster who is a fucking dolt and proclaims English Football is undoubtedly the best.

FA Cup more Prestigious than the WORLD CUP??? :howler:

And people wonder why I hate English Football and live for seeing England failing at the highest level. I mean, why on Earth even pose a question such as ridiculous as that? Fuckheads.

Vance from TENNESSEE: "FA Cup is the best cup competition in the world without a shadow of a doubt."

Nick Webster: "Rooney is at the same level as Kaka and Messi." :howler:

I think the FA Cup is the most prestigious in terms of national cups as well, since there are more clubs in it than in any other, or at least that is how I understand it, and the way it is played.

I don't like how the Coppa Italia is played meaning two legs), nor do I like how it is not held in high regard, a lot of the teams just piss on it like it's a big waste of time.

    Yea, this is dumb.

    For clubs, yea, I guess.

Rooney is on the same level as Old Yeller and the Toshiba Television Factory.

But the question included the World Cup and European Cup, too. I mean, who the hell comes up with this stuff? Just because the FA Cup is the "oldest" cup competition in the world doesn't make it the best.

Is 119 year-old Benito Martinez's dick the most prestigious dick in the world because it's also the oldest serving member? I don't know, Nick Webster, why don't you go do a poll on that, ya fucking retard.

Ohhh, no, that's why Eazy and I both qualified with the "national cup" qualification....it compares not to the GOLD CUP, the WORLD CUP, the CONFEDERATIONS CUP, the UEFA CUP, THE MARTINSBURG VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS INVITATIONAL ANNUAL BASEBALL VOLLEYBALL CRAFT SHOW CUP...

None of those I even took into consideration...

the english have had many false claims over the years about their football, national teams and leagues.

Now although i think its not the same as the past in regards to the FA cup but they certainly hold in more regards to almost all the other countries. Just have a look at the Copa Italia or the Copa Del Rey. I think in a few years time all those cup competitions will be the same level unless something is done as the FA cup is not as it was before.

Another point is that the Germans will say that their cup is on the same level as the FA cup and they have high interest in it, unlike the other countries in europe.

If the FA Cup was so prestigious then the top clubs wouldn't send their reserve teams. They don't do that in the CL, do they. For that matter, you don't exactly see the winning team on a bus moving through the city among thousands of celebrating fans.

Maybe it once was prestigious, but it sure as hell isn't now.

We don't care as much about the Deutsche Pokal as England does the FA Cup.

FA Cup is still more prestigious than Coppa Italia and Copa Del Rey. At least the teams care more about it.
