I would give one more year to Lippi. He simply HAS to win Champions League.

But unfortunately, that will solely depend on how Italy does in Portugal this summer. If Italy wins, Trapp will be inspired to stay for Germany WC. This is important for Trappatoni also... remember, he won everything except the World Cup.
