Johnny, what's the story with Asian football? If Iran are beating China and Korea comfortably in the Asian Champs, why were they crap when we knocked them out of the World Cup in early '02?

i'm not taking it in a bad way at all! :)

I understand there are many Iranians in Bahrain and even more in the UAE, but they are not the majority in Bahrain. I often go to Bahrain so i aint BSing ;)

it's not that they are or we are your enimies. It's just that they are closer. just as most Saudis and Bahrainis supported Iran against Ireland because we're both asian. :)
it was perhaps not correct by my side saying majority!
language translation error!

hope for the best for Asian football! :D

played like CRAP???

we lost the game in Ireland with 2-0, with Karimi turning the irish players
in and out :p poor finishing saw us leave ireland with no goals...

In Tehran (I have never understood Teheran where did that 'e' came from?) we won 1-0.

besides, there are so many factors that have hand in iranian football, heck generally in everything to do with Iran that U have just to live there to understand that football isn't just football.
and I'm not refering that the passion is in extreme level. Rather how
politic's have hand in everything going on there...

everything I say will just sonund wierd to you guys... U will perhaps now even believe it, thinking one is BS-ing!

John10: Happy New Year 2 U too!

No, played crap. Slightly different. ;)

The guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, never mind the net. :D I've never seen Given so little tested. Ireland plaed terribly, yet won 2-0 without a problem. I find it hard to believe that South Korea couldn't have tested us more.

In Tehran (I have never understood Teheran where did that 'e' came from?) we won 1-0.
With us missing Keane and a number of other players, McCarthy decided to play for 0-0. We just couldn't do it. A decent European side would have beaten us up and stolen our lunch money.

 Okay. Sure. Politics made that guy the worst finisher since Emile Heskey took to attempting to beat some passion into the Kop end. ;)

btw. I'm not saying that we lost against ireland b/c of politics...
But if things had been as normal we wouldn't even needed to play
a F-king play off to begin with....

we have many good players like:
ali karimi
mahdavikia
arash borhani, eman mobaali(the young talents are extraordinary)
nikbakht
fereydoon ZANDI he plays for vfb lubeck 2nd division in germany

we are definitly better than IRELAND ..they suck
they dont even have a creative football mind
the match in ireland....karimi just did every driblling in that match he even got the ball between roy keanes legs...he dribbled roy keane and when he came back to tackle him he dribbled him again ..i never saw roy keane humilated like that
we missed many chances

the match in iran...ireland wasnt missing number of its players!!!
we dominated the match from the first to last minute we got more than 10 posts ...ur team was fcuking lucky to get through
