But it doesn't just stop after she blinds him. Who is to say he doesn't then kill her, or a friend or family member of his goes and hurts someone in her family as revenge? You are just breeding more anger and stupidity this way.
That would be true in case he stole something and they splashed the acid in his face.

He did that act first with no reason whatsoever. There could be more anger, but what he did was unforgivable. Sometimes you can't control wild people until you put a gun on his face, even if you're not a murderer.

In his mind, he did have some reason, we just don't know what it is as we're normal people who would not do that. Perhaps he was just being stupid one day, or perhaps he has serious mental issues (or a combination of both), but I just cannot see how more violence is a good way to fix this. By putting this sort of system in place you are encouraging a society which sees this as normal and acceptable, and eventually these things get out of control.

It should be life imprisonment with hard labour. Personally I'd seek revenge, but that's my choice, I'd also expect the justice system to deal with me as a consequence. The justice system shouldn't be endorsing revenge. That's vengeance, not justice.

I don't really encourage that system, but really, anything below 25 years would be soft for that crime.

And like I said, if he wants to play that game, cut off his penis.

Back in the days when Dusan "the Mighty" ruled this area, he was cutting arms when thief gets caught in the action. It was a horrible action maybe, but I highly doubt we have any less criminals ruling our country now, when you get prison sentence for 7 years when you kill two people.

I agree with you on giving a harsh prison sentence, just not violence.

If I were in her place, I'd get someone to kill him if the acid thing didn't go through. Having to spend the rest of your life looking like Redknapp is no joke.

that's so sad, what happened to her.

I'd have to agree though that the judicial system shouldn't condone retribution (if this continues when will anything stop really?) not denying that if I was in her position I'd probably do more than acid his eyes. Having said that 3 years really is too light for a crime that ruined someone's life to that extent.

Ameneh lately said : where were these people when I needed help? when I was begging for money for my treatments for 6 years? Didn't I have any rights? Who was thinking about my rights? Who helped? Where were these human right defenders in those six years when I needed someone by my side? now they are acting as if I am the one who is guilty here.
