    Good job Tino and great win - but aren't you underage? :D

    Jeeks...unlucky with the accumulator and especially with Inter. Unfortunately this team is not be trusted away from home.

    Both bets win today:

    Will probably leave Osasuna alone tonight. However, the initial starting bank of £200.00 has been recreated with profit in only 2 weeks. Will look into changing the staking into something more progressive. More on that later...

    Results:
    HEARTS(+0AH) v Celtic: 20.00 @ 1.93 => 38.60 (Bet365)
    Milan(1.20) x Tottenham(1.67): 20.00 @ 2.00 => 40.00 (Gamebookers)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Bet Results(Won/Lost/Push/Pending): 23/16/2/0
    Starting Bank: 200.00
    Current Bank: 403.40
    Profit: 203.40
    Staked: 720.00
    Yield: 28.25%

    Bet365: 134.60
    Gamebookers: 108.00
    Paddy Power: 40.00
    Stan James: 70.20
    VC Bet: 50.60

    Change of staking system:

    Any successful long-term betting is dependent on good money management. So far I started with a bank of 200.00 and proceeded to place all bets of maximum stakes of 20.00. This figure started off as exactly 10% of my total bank. Once the bank grows however, this stake becomes a less significant proportion. For example, with the bank now over 400.00 such a stake represents only 5% meaning 20 consecutive losing bets would be needed to lose all money.

    There are many different staking systems and for inexperienced punters a flat-staking approach is always safer. There are others where the stake is variable based on either the confidence or value of the bet. However, such staking puts more stress on an account and eventually only the high-stake bets are significant.

    Progress:
    I've demonstrated my ability to produce enough winning bets to enable a good profit. But the flat-staking that I have so far used is too strict and does not maximise profit. Now I've increased the bank to a good level it is time to implement this new method which represents flat-staking in a more realistic way:

    The new stake will now always be 5% of the total bank. As the bank fluctuates the value of this stake will too also change. As the bank grows, so does the stake but at each time the percentage risk is the same as the last so the risk is exactly the same and is actually set at the more reasonable 5% of total bank as opposed to the initial 10% which was more aggressive. With the bank at 400.00 the first series of staking will familiarly still be around 20.00 which is a very comfortable situation to be in. But as the bank grows so will the stake and hopefully his will be able to maximise the volume of winning bets more efficiently.

    A win and a loss from the tennis so nothing lost or gained. Outsider play on Greul fails despite being close. In hindsight the 3-game handicap would've have been better.

    Garcia-Lopez(1.44) x Rochus(1.40): 18.20 @ 2.016 => 36.69 (Bet365)
    GREUL v Simon: 18.20 @ 2.50 => 0.00 (Bet365)

    One last bet for today to give the day an 'edge':
    Sunderland v FULHAM(-0.25AH): 18.20 @ 2.02 (Bet365)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Bet Results(Won/Lost/Push/Pending): 24/19/3/1
    Starting Bank: 200.00
    Current Bank: 346.16
    Pending: 18.20

    Another loss as Sunderland win their first home match of the season :oops::
    Sunderland v FULHAM(-0.25AH): 18.20 @ 2.02 => 0.00 (Bet365)

    Another tennis bet for tomorrow - it looks like a day for the favourites. Very risky bet but perhaps a possible winner and make up for a bad week so far. If not? Weekend football and better weeks of tennis ahead:

    Clijsters(1.36) x Nieminen(1.25) x Portas(1.44) x Davydenko(1.36): 20.00 @ 3.33 (Stan James)

    Also going back to flat-staking of 20.00 as the additional calculations for this the accounting in this thread were too time consuming :p. Also after much thought I realised that the stakes would never dramatically increase above 20.00 anyone once a level of profit is banked.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Bet Results(Won/Lost/Push/Pending): 24/20/3/1
    Starting Bank: 200.00
    Current Bank: 326.16
    Pending: 20.00

    Only bet won as it paid combining the favourites today:
    Clijsters(1.36) x Nieminen(1.25) x Portas(1.44) x Davydenko(1.36): 20.00 @ 3.33 => 66.59 (Stan James)

    Almost back to where I was at the start of the week which isn't too bad considering the volume of losing bets this week.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Bet Results(Won/Lost/Push/Pending): 25/20/3/0
    Starting Bank: 200.00
    Current Bank: 392.75

    Ok, time for the weekend football and all the best action seems to be on Sunday.

    Early bets for Sunday:
    Ajax v PSV EINDHOVEN(+0.25AH): 20.00 @ 1.96 (VCBet)
    West Ham v TOTTENHAM(-0.5AH): 20.00 @ 1.80 (Bet365)

    Favourites 7-fold accumulator:
    Fiorentina(1.11) x Inter Milan(1.40) x AC Milan(1.30) x Roma(1.10) x Arsenal(1.22) v Man Utd(1.20) x Tottenham(-0.5AH @ 1.80): 20.00 @ 5.86 (VCBet)

    Briefly on those bets:
    - PSV handicap is mistake by VCBet as it should actually be -0.25AH. If this bet is cancelled I will remove it however this opportunity has to be exploited as PSV definitely start as favourites to lift the cup.
    - Tottenham have to win to finish 4th and can't see them failing at this stage. West Ham have eyes on FA Cup final so will rest players. Tough 10 days for Arsenal after Sunday I think.
    - Accumulator: risky having so many legs but most are likely winners or need to win. Last type of bet of this kind for the season so if only for sentiment.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Bet Results(Won/Lost/Push/Pending): 25/20/3/3
    Starting Bank: 200.00
    Current Bank: 332.75
    Pending: 60.00

    Bet365: 96.69
    Gamebookers: 88.84
    Paddy Power: 40.00
    Stan James: 96.62

    Will also include any Saturday bet that catch my eye later tonight or early tomorrow. Definitely like the look the look of Rochus in the tennis from Munich over Melzer just waiting on the prices. Maybe 1 or 2 football matches...more to look into.

    Anyone else here have any money on anything this weekend? Feel free to share. :pint:

    Note: I didn't include Juventus on that accumulator as I have to live in hope. :agree:

    One more bet for Sunday to make that 4 pending tomorrow:
    ARSENAL(-1.5AH) v Wigan: 20.00 @ 1.80 (Stan James)

    Was also looking at Kuznetsova to beat Clijsters in the tennis final but the odds will be too skinny for my liking from what's available right now.

    Nice win 2-1 but after a scare with Metz leading 1-0. Fantastic win for such a small amount risked. :eyebrows:

    Some brave picks on those German matches from your Dad. I could definitely find use for some Bundesliga tips such as that from you - too bad the season is almost over now. :p

    Tell him to enjoy his winnings. :pint:
