I can already sense the brits being totally hyped for the game against Germany, their media especially. It's the usual thing with them, very one sided.
I don't think they seem as hyped as normal. I think poor performances in the group stage have calmed them.

I'm surprised how negative they have been. Their draw is incredible and they still haven't let in a goal. I would not be surprised to see them go to the final.

I would agree actually. Britain would be yelling "It's coming home!" by now after winning their group... even if England is hardly the home of the Euro.

Which is why I like their odds this year. It's like the English fans jinx them, but less so this time.

This is one of the biggest reasons for me to dislike the brits concerning their national team and I'm not even German. You don't boo another countries national anthem fucking monkeys.

This is also another reason to dislike them. Clinging on to the past because it's the only thing they got going for them.

Only the English do that. Dont lump the Welsh and Scots in with those hooligans and racists.

Props to the Cechs, really smart and organized play to KO the dutch, tbf they fully deserved to go through and were the team with the initiative even before the red card.

I feel sorry for De Ligt tho, they will scapegoat him even if it was actually an overall poor team performance from start to end.

De Ligt didn't lose this match. Just another team that didn't lift its game from a 3-0 group stage cakewalk when they came up against tougher competition.

WWII stuff is part and parcel of the England away fans banter repertoire, I don’t think it is particularly nasty. They all well know that the world has moved on a lot since those days.

How many times do you think the British national anthem gets booed when England play in sporting events? Personally I think it's funny, but at worst it's a little sad. It happens between the other home nations all the time.

Whatever you do on the island is not a part of contintental Europe. Booing a national anthem is subhuman worthy, even if you think the anthem is ugly as hell.

Agreed, and IMO luckily De Ligt still has all the future ahead of him so overall i don't think this will get too much to his head at all, as soon as he strings a couple of good performance for a winning Juve side all this will be in the past for him, some just tend to forget how young he is and that there is still margin for error in his case, mentally he is certainly up to it.
