Great news that Eriksen is fine for now but you never know with such situations. Remember Puerta even managed to walk from the pitch himself and was gone 3 days later.
That’s what I was thinking too. I know of someone who went to the hospital after fainting, then two days later died from a heart attack while sleeping.

It's also worth pointing out that going through CPR is immensely traumatic. Unlike what you see in the TV and movies, the mortality rate after surviving CPR is likely higher than you might imagine.
That was traumatic to watch and honestly these guys taking about passing out my man was dead when he hit the ground. I prayed for that brother. They brought him back with the cpr and paddles. If I was him I’d be retiring ASAP

The guy has just come back to life and then you’re asking if he’s going to play??
Thanks for the insult but I was commenting to Bjerknes' post which was this:

I mean, I’m not a doctor but I can’t imagine Eriksen is totally out of the woods yet. I hope he is, but it’s an odd decision.
And I was wondering what he means by "it's an odd decision to play the game because Eriksen is not totally out of the woods".

The game should be cancel until he is 100% out of danger, or he is ready to play?

And yeah, I think Eriksen should retire from football

Apparently danish football federation reported the same. And that's the only way i can see this match going on, so it's definitely true as well.

It's his decision to continue, then players had to agree to continue which they did and then UEFA gave the green light as well so that's why we have the game going on. There shouldn't be reason to be upset about game going on, it was their wish.
Credit for the referee there, who immediately stopped the play and called the med.

Glad to see he is in stable condition. I know he plays for Inter, but I always felt a bit sorry for him when Conte lost faith in him and his career faltered.
It was cool to see his teammates form a shield around him and hear both the Danish and Finnish crowd chant his name.

Players health not being monitored properly is somewhat understandable in the lower echelons and youth footie, but it's always shocking to see cases like this in the very elite level of the sport. How is it possible that neither at the club level, nor the national team level no one detected this? Is it really possible that his heart went from perfectly healthy to disfunctional just like that, with no prior symptoms?

People commenting that eriksen should retire and this and that when they literally don’t even know what happened. Keyontae Johnson had a similar looking incident a year ago and he’s expected to play again. And unlike Eriksen, he was put in a coma. Idk what specifically happened to Eriksen, but speculating on his future is just that, speculation.

Heart attack, can happen to anyone, even fit athletes who are regularly tested for conditions.
