Is it fair to say that England finally have a better team than Italy?
It's pretty close with everyone available, but England clearly have the better attack. Defence and keeper are crap, no matter the clean sheet record. That's because Southgate sets the team up to bore the opposition to sleep with nothing possession and then win on counter attacks and penalties. It just might work.

This Italy line up tonight is so mediocre. Parolo makes Khedira look like a world class midfield dynamo.

-----------

Italy's defence switched off thinking the brits gonna take their time with the freekick, clever but rather lucky goal :D, tho Italy had their chances aswell but so far Immobile managed to bottle it on all of them...
Immobile has been shite (no surprise really) but Insigne and Candreva have outshined him so far. :baus:

We are playing Mario Gomez ffs.

First string team would finish off brazil no problem. Even the goal was lucky.

Germany to come at you guys again when it matters.
You won’t find an easy adversary in Brazil anytime soon tbh. This is not only a more experienced squad, it’s got a proper coach and much more talent all around than the likes of mediocre Hulk, Fred, Oscar, Luiz, etc...

You know as much as I do that was a one-time thing that could only happen under certain circumstances.

I’ll take a bet “when it matters” :D

Waiting for a Karfreitag pun ::lol3::

And yea, this team is falling apart without Spielführer Sami
That midfield two
Way too soft. Sami looks like a prime Gattuso next to Kroos and Ich-habs-im-Kreuz Gündogan.

Immobile has been $#@!e (no surprise really) but Insigne and Candreva have outshined him so far. :baus:
Also that, and i'd add the midfield pair Jorginho-Parolo to the bunch too, they've both been ok-ish/decent on the ball but overall total liabilities defensively...

I guess it's just a friendly afterall, experimental formation and all that, tho what surprised me most was that for example Rugani tonight seemed like 3x the defender that Bonucci currently is, very mature performance both on and off the ball.
