In the past, this was true. The last 12 months, Ramos has been a much better defender than Chiellini.
Can be debated in my eyes, I certainly wouldn't say "much better" defender.
And Ramos is obviously much better with the ball, I was just talking defensive-wise.

Btw I actually think that Ramos inclusion in the FIFA XI is very justified, by the hugely important goals he scored for Real and his at least decent defensive contribution ofr Real. He's behind Godin for sure, but so has been pretty much every CB last year. The real joke in the FIFA XI is Luiz, and to some extent even Silva.

Anyways, good night folks. Stay civil.

Just read some of the posts from that RM forum, they fucking hate him. Either benched or sold.

It's actually interesting how extremely similar this is with Chiellini, non-Juve fans rate him in an almost ridiculous manner.

I actually think the FIFA video games take a large portion of the blame in this.

I don't think anyone here thinks that Ramos is the best defender out there. He is clearly a "good" defender, he has good pace, good technical ability, strong in the air (both defensive and offensive set-pieces), and he's good at distributing the ball.

When one looks at a player, you have to take everything he offers into account. And Ramos offers more to his team than 99% of CBs in Europe. He's world class because of it. If he was really some big liability, do you think Real wouldn't spend big to replace him? They clearly would have by now.
Agreed. And i dont even rate him that highly. But he deserved to be in FIFA's X1.Even Thiago Silva who is supposedly proclaimed as the best CB in the world has had a terrible 2014.

Godin-Ramos would be my pick in FIFA's X1.

The thing is his talent alone would put him in contention for these awards. For what was a pretty mediocre year in 2014 by his standards,he was still better than most forwards or atleast his stats suggest that.So it'll be too hard to ignore him in that case.

Also that most people(non-Juve fans) dont watch him week in week out. They only tune in to an odd big Serie A game(maybe not even that nowadays) or a big CL game.

He was fantastic for Spain as well, along with Casillas one of their better players of the tournament, right?

Error prone defender, useless in defensive tasks, liability. Now time for you to get off your mommy's computer and go to bed.
You're missing the point, oldie, but's no surprise. By now you probably forgot what we were talking about last night.

Ramos is on another level than all of our current defenders. That makes him a very good defender.

The Team of the Year is always a big joke anyways. At least Ramos is not on the level of including Luiz.

On the topic of actual CB quality though, Diego Godin must be ahead of Ramos.

That CB pairing is a mockery. Back in the days of Baresi, Maldini, Montero, Nesta, Canna, these two hacks would be scrubbing toilets.
And who is saying otherwise you miserable old fuck?

That's because you underestimate our players. His task here would be to clean Chiello's boots at half time.

There's lot of anger in you son, your sister doesn't put out anymore?

No, it's actually the contrary.

It's also nice to refer to me as "son". Finally it seems you're accepting the fact that you only have months remaining in your miserable life. You also seem to be very familiar with such scenarios in the family. You seem to have quite the experience. Doesn't it hurt to open old wounds like that?

Don't worry mate, I'm not going anywhere. But nice of you to express concerns for my well being.

Weren't you dating your sis for a while, you sick son of a bitch? :lol2:
