Well.. Ireland was obviously a better side and a defeat was probably inevitable, but that doesn't explain Kassai making it even worse for us by handing out yellow cards after every foul estonians committed, especially a very weak second yellow for Piiroja, who was actually pushed by Keane, but that's not the only example. Now we're fucked for the second leg with our 2 main central defenders out (agree with the dismissal of Stepanov, even though his first yellow was too easily given after a dive by McGeady, second could have been a straight red), goalkeeper out who got a yellow card for arguing the doubtful penalty decision and is suspended (why give a yellow card for him, as if he was the only one complaining). Seems like Irish were compensated for the play-off game against France 2 years ago.

disappointed.
The second sending off was extremely harsh to say the least, and the penalty should have never been either. To say we were being compensated for the events of two years ago though sounds like sour grapes in fairness, I'm never that confident about Ireland if I'm honest but I think we would have beaten Estonia whether or not you had 11 men on the pitch or not.

Could be, but I think the sympathy Kassai had towards the Irish can't be denied, maybe it's just me.
I wish we still had something to fight for.. 0-4 just wasn't a fair outcome and doesn't give us any hope for the following fixture. Anyway I'm proud of our NT for making it this far, pity the ending was a let down
