Only Menez's pathetic dive wasn't a foul. The rest were clear. Spahic was an idiot for losing the ball like that against Nasri and then fouling him.
I agree. The dive of Menez wasnt a foul, but tbh he did dive well, so no hard feelings agaisnt the ref for that. I just dont know if Spahić is suspended for the playoffs now. If he is we should probably appeal, and ask for the yellow card to be deleted. Still, I dont think they ever do that.
And the penalty was a clear penalty, a bit unlucky because he had the ball but still a penalty.
They might qualify with another coach, but they still lack quality, as do all the ex-Yu teams. They all have 2, 3 or 4 class players, 2-3 ok players and a whole bunch of mediocre players. You need very good starting XI AND very good bench in order to do very good. An entire Yugoslavia would have had it, but the republics on their own don't have it.
Agreed again. We have a few good/great players (Begović, Spahić, Lulić, Salihović, Pjanić, Džeko), but generally we dont have a full team of quality players and we dont have enough width on the bench, if one of the main players gets injured we're screwed.
An ex-Yu team would be the bomb.
Am I correct in my assumption that "we" is Bosnia? I don't really feel that's a reason. A stadium can be locked tight by the police, and if it's too much of a risk the game can be played without a crowd.
But then again, Im also flying to Serbia when we meet Croatia in Belgrade - that might be the root of our disagreement
Yes, Bosnia. It's not just about the game on the stadium, its about the general atmosphere which would be in the country, there would be a us agaisnt them attitude (federation vs republika srpska) and in the cities where both serbs and muslims live there would definitely be conflicts. There are always troubles between muslims and croats in Mostar for example when we play against eachother, and even a lot of problems in the domestic league. So it's better to avoid the option all together if possible. I just hope we dont get Croatia.
