agreed though i dont know why you d have pirlo on the bench the systme needs to be revolving around him
Pirlo was the creative force tonight, as he always is.

Zambro, well lets just say I wouldn't lose sleep if he got molested by a giant squid

Criscito sohuld be Italys LB, I like palombo in the midfield but De rossi not so much...

It's too late for Italy to make major changes for this WC.

If they were going to revamp the squad, it had to be done at the start of qualifying.

As long as Pirlo continues to play behind the strikers he can start

:D

England are capable of winning it, but they won't, of course.

Spain and Brazil are head and shoulders above everyone else.
The Dutch look good too, but we all know that the favorites before a world cup rarely are accurate. I would like to point out Brazil, Spain, and Argentina at the last world cup and France, England and Argentina in 2002. Germany were not favored at either of the last two world cups and far outdid the expectations, as well as Italy and France in 2006. I guess my point is that being a favorite before the world cup means little

You think two friendlies is enough to prepare a new squad/team to take on the best in the world?
Lol it's not a new squad only several adjustments but the core of the team is still there. Would you not agree that Zambrotta and Palombo should be benched for Motta/Santon and D'agostino? The main change would be in attack and Cassano-Pazzini play together at club level and would likely form a much better partnership than Gila-Iaquinta. I don't expect these changes I am sure Lippi will continue in his ways but I only wish we could get rid of Zambrotta and get a new strike partnership
