Oblak, Handanovic, Subasic
Lovren, Savic, Zukanovic, Kolasinac, Kolarov, Basta, Vrsaljko
Matic, Pjanic, Modric, Kovacic, Rakitic, Brozovic, Kurtic, Ilicic
Ibrahimovic, Dzeko, Mandzukic, Jovetic, Perisic

Hm, i dont know, 9/23 is hardly almost the entire NT

About time we're seeing a bit of a generation change in Italy, given they have so many talented young players. Kudos to Ventura for ushering them in. Should have really started under Wig-Man, too bad he failed miserably at that part of his job.
Conte definitely doesn't excel at developing young players unless they are heads and shoulders above their competition. Look at his Chelsea stint, plays the same starting 11 over and over.

That being said, this is Lichtenstein, it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

He's Swedish. It's not fair to consider him part of a Yugo team if he picked Sweden over Bosnia.
His father wanted him to play for Bosnia when he was still in the U19s, called the people in the football federation and tried to make it happen, but they told him "we have more than enough of such". If not for some incompetent thug, Zlatan would have played for Bosnia

Yeah it is Lichtenstein, but you can see from the beginning of Ventura's reign that he is trying to usher in a new generation of players. Also switched from the 3-5-2 to a 4-4-2 -even tho I think a 4-3-3 suits Italy the best with the players at their disposal.

LOL have a guess.
Did he get you guys relegated to League One as well? Or just to The Championship?

How did they play?

Sandros first game for NT since fucking 5 years, hipe he did well.
Alex Sandro did really well as he always does. Definitely among the better players on the field.

Douglas Costa started on the left wing and didn't really play all that well. Did marginally better when he was moved to the right.

It was the correct call if you want to live by video replays, but it totally fucks up the rhythm and momentum of the match.
True, but the good thing is you won't be seeing Roma with a penalty every second game(!) or Real Madrid scoring offside goals all the way to the final.

Hell, even Casemiro escaping red cards every game

I make no secret of my disdain for VAR and the vain belief that slow motion television is absolute truth over and above anything that convinces the human eye on the pitch.

But what makes it worse is the stoppages and bizarre and ceding of control of the match to people who are nowhere on the pitch.
