It's hard to explain to you, why I put successes word in quote.
Perhaps I didnt want to sound like some of our sport journalist, commentators, who sound soooo pompous, whenever they talk about them.
Yes, they were succesful in those years, and they produced some very good players and yes people have right to be proud of them.
But some people over here show off so much cause of those successes, that they make them as SUCCESSES, it has negative attitude.

I'm not sure, if I can explained it well...
Anyway, without unnecessary pompous words: they were succesfull then.
And I'm afraid we wont be much better than we actually are in the nearest future.

    DIFENSORI: Cannavaro (Inter), Ferrari (Parma), Grosso(Perugia), Materazzi (Inter), Nesta (Milan), Oddo (Lazio),Pancaro (Milan), Panucci (Roma).
    CENTROCAMPISTI: Gattuso (Milan), Marchionni (Parma),Perrotta (Chievo), Pirlo (Milan), Zanetti (Inter).
    ATTACCANTI: Cassano (Roma), Corradi (Lazio), Di Vaio(Juventus), Miccoli (Juventus), Totti (Roma), Vieri (Inter).

    Miccoli and DV are the only 2 juve players.
