Say what you will about the man.
He's a diver, he whines, he's a Romanista.
But there is no doubt that Francesco Totti is THE best player that Italy has, and I love watching the man play.
That pass was perfect, absolutely perfect.
And for the Ancona crowd to give him a standing ovation when he went off is a testament to how he controlled the match.

okay, there's one reason why im upset despite italy's victory- okay, make that two reasons- no, three :
1. after cannavaro left the pitch guess who got the armband, totti
no doubt he's a great player, but i'd HATE to see him as azzurri's captain after cannavaro.
2. simone inzaghi didn't get to start till 55th minute.
3. so many romans in the team..

the video worked for me.
I actually rate DV's finish as highly as Totti's pass. Coming from a slightly difficult angle, hitting it on the bounce while the balls going away from you... very difficult. Most players would have tried to control that, round the keeper and slot it home. It's great to see Marco's confidence so high :strong:

A few thoughts about a bit of a sloppy game :
Bazzani doesnt belong...
Cassano needs to mature as a PLAYER further, thats why he needs to swallow his pride and play with the U-21 side, THATS WHAT ITS THERE FOR !!!!!!
Totti has my respect
Di Vaio deserves to be on this team IMO
Little Inzaghi doesnt belong either
