Nobody is saying that we should field eleven eleven year-olds. But come on, we don't even manage to field a 21 year-old. It IS pathetic.
I doubt the 'problem" with Giovinco is him being a youngster. So are Marchisio and De Ceglie and they're regularly getting a chance. If age was problem then they'd have been treated equally.
It's Giovinco's physique that makes the problem. Here i agree with you that there shouldn't be a problem and he should play more often.

But it's indeed hard to argue with those who say that we shouldn't change the winning team and it's hard to argue against the decisions of the winning coach.

And that's why Arsenal will play Coppa Uefa.
Actually, no, not with Wilshire. Him and Vela are class talents, even if Wilshire is defenitely too young (dont think Ranieri is benching Gio for his age, though seniority plays a part, but his football philosphy more like).

Arsenal will play coppa uefa not because their players are too young, but because they are mediocre talents. Wenger cant anymore see a real difference between class talents like Walcott, Wilshire, Vela, Nasri, Fabregas, to average ones like Song, Diaby, Denilson, Bendtner and so on, that will only bring you down.

THATS why they are faltering and likely to make a Milan act. Though too young of a squad is a factor defenitely. Funny Milan went to Uefa cup because they had too old of a squad, and Arsenal in a way, the reverse. But as I said, mainly because those young players arent good enough talents, then their age.

So the question is then this: should we sell Giovinco?

Thats not the question. The question is, how long will we have Ranieri as a coach. Thats a more vital question for Giovinco's lack of minutes.

And Gio is no hurry despite the lack of minutes. He is Del Piero's direct backup in Ranieri's mind, and Del Piero is 35, so not like he will have to wait long.

But you're talking as if Ranieri will be our coach for the next 10 years and as if Del Piero and Trez are 25 years old.
That's not the case and that's why we must keep Giovinco.

If we didn't sell Roberto Baggio (for a world record transfer fee) Del Piero (maybe) wouldn't have been the same player we know.
If Dino Baggio didn't want to go to Parma we would have lost Del Piero, who also played only on 11 matches, mostly as a sub, in his first year with Juve, while R.Baggio was our king.

We didn't sell Del Piero to Parma and we did sell R.Baggio (thus gave Del Piero a better chance).
Maybe one day someone will say: We didn't sell Giovinco to Arsenal and Del Piero stopped performing great due to his age (thus Juve gave Giovinco a better chance).

Thanks God, we have no injuries right now except Zebina, loosing players like Buffon or Camo or Trez because of Injury is pity.... this second half of season will be very interesting and we'll win something! Forza Juve!

Camo is fantastic
Marco proved that hes capable of replacing Camo and also we got mr.Versatile Brazzo
If Camo is fantastic, and Marco is capable of replacing him, then does that mean...?

Just trying to add it up here, because Marchionni was far from fantastic, actually very inadequate to just average in overall, just a passenger in the team except in few highlights, clearly the weakest player most of the time. So one would think he oughta do more to be capable of replacing a fantastic player?

Camoranesi is one of the best wingers in the world. Marchionni and brazzo is world class replacements. They r not capable of replaceing any first team players. I love Marco for his contribution in 2008 and I always feel safe when playin Brazzo, but these guys are extras and nothing more.

Cant understand why you people underestimate Marco so much. He is not Camo, ok, but if that is your only reason for saying that Marco is bellow average or average then you people must have missed loooooooooot of Juve games.

Sunday training. Chiellini allowed to rest. Feverish Salihamidzic

On a cold and frosty Sunday morning, the team underwent the second training session of 2009. The session was held on the field with certain exceptions. Salihamidzic returned home since he was running a slight fever. Camoranesi underwent physiotherapy and worked in the gym. Chiellini was allowed to rest due to a slight muscle strain and will miss out of precaution the match on Tuesday in Messina.

Trezeguet underwent a different training session as per schedule. Everything ok for Tiago who is now working regularly with the group.
