I know I am positive of one thing he will do, instead of have Giovinco on the bench but not sub him in for 4 games straight as nowadays, he WONT even have Giovino on the bench at all when Camo, Trez and Iaquinta are back. "No room in the bench for 1 more offensive player". Pretty damn sure it will happen often.
I think it may work the other way.

Once Ranieri is able to play Poulsen and Sissoko together, he may be willing to play Giovinco on the left.

I won't be holding my breath, though.

That may happen occasionally when he can find time to make changes, but IMO we are on for frustrating times on behalf of Giovinco. He wont be just competing for playing time, but likes of Marchionni, Sali, Camo (when Marchionni plays), Iaquinta and Trezeguet will be on the bench (if all available), and Ranieri will have Gio in the stands. Sad but very much expected.

Best hope, Coppa Italia, we better win Catania so he has a venue to play in now and then.

I don't think Giovinco will be left in the stands very much.

Ranieri may not see fit too start him, but I'm sure he knows it is well worth having him on the bench to change a game.

But thats the thing, do you see him having Sali, Marchionni/Camo, Iaquinta or Trez in the stands? I dont for one second. I think he sees having Gio outside the bench as the safer choice.

He did have Gio in the stands for several times in the beginning of the season. And we said it was to protect him, but it was because Iaquinta, Trez, Marchionni and such didnt leave much else space for another offensive player in the bench.

All indications say that it's not the case.

Osman is entirely correct from what it appears.

Giovinco has no room in this side.

How so? Even if he is on the bench, he never comes on.

What is there to say that Ranieri thinks Seba is worth having on the bench?

Nothing.

But we have generally been winning.

We haven't had much chance to see this season what changes Ranieri would make if we were losing a game.

Or selling Iaquinta?
Indeed, this is the best hope for sure. For bench time at the least. But January is too soon for this.

I seriously dont think he will get bench time when everyone is fit. Ranieri's hierarchy is set for sure. He wouldnt want to upset likes of Marchionni, Sali (Sali is a must in the bench for Ranieri), and especially Iaquinta who hardly gets minutes, by having them in the stands regurarly.

If we can exchange or sell Iaquinta, that would be the most ideal, but then again, we might hit injury crisis again, and the luxury sub that is Iaquinta may not be that much of a luxury.

But we know this, Giovino HARDLY starts, let alone comes off the bench (330 mins WHOLE Serie A season), when we have the WORST injury crisis I have seen in my time as a Juve fan. When EVERYONE, especially the offensive players are back and available, it will defenitely mean even worse for Giovinco as in not making the bench. We saw it in the beginning of the season. Just saying dont be surprised when it happens.

Osman is correct.

Even when we were struggling, Giovinco didn't come on. It is clear he doesn't feature in the plans of the skipper.

If he did, he would have played more already.

It wouldn't surprise me.

And while we have had an injury crisis, Del Piero has remained fit and in form and he is the man that is keeping Giovinco on the bench.

But lets break this down here.

What does Marchionni and Salihamidzic add more than Giovinco? The latter adds more defensively, yes, but the former doesn't add anything defensively in my view. SO what we have here is a faux sense of security under Marco. No matter how he plays, he plays.

If Giovinco can only play as a striker under Ranieri, then he is fifth choice. That's the way the system works, that's what we have seen, that's we have to go upon. It's all because this little guy is apparently not strong enough to play for Juventus, considering our tactics.

So either way, injuries or not, Seba plays the same roll, which is water boy. Even despite the fact he's more talented than most of the squad.

Its funny, a made a little jokish bet with my brother who is an Arsenal fan in the summer, of who will impressive more between Nasri and Giovinco for their teams. And whoever does will buy a shirt of that player for the winner of the bet (Gio for me, Nasri for him).

I would eitherway buy him an Arsenal shirt for his birthday, so I dont really care about losing it, is just a way to say I think Giovinco is a better talent. But now, when you think about it, Jack fucking Wilshire, youngest player in top football, is more likely to play then Gio for us (exaggerating, but not far from the truth), if all of our players are injury free for this second half of the season.

It's sad, really. Fucking pathetic. But of course people will pussy-foot around talented youngsters because that's what our club does.

Play the best players. It's not that difficult of a concept.
