My religion is pretty much my own development of beliefs based on bits and pieces of everything I've learned about other religions. Virtually all religions have some element of truth to them, and I see many of them as different views and perspectives on common truths. No one is any more right than another per se -- just different perspectives.

Granted, that makes me a mile wide and an inch deep -- because I do not participate in any one of them enough to experience the richness that each has to offer its followers. But I'd like to think I sample the best of them and learn from each of them about a piece of the bigger puzzle.

I belong to a sect within Islam, called the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam. Where we differ from mainstream Islam are two things. We don't believe that Jesus died on the cross or that he was replaced by a look-a-like, while the real Jesus ascended into the heavens, who shall return one day. We believe that he survived death on the cross, escaped to Kashmir, where he died a natural death. The other differense is that we believe the 2nd coming, i.e. the Messiah that everyone is waiting for has already come. He was the Krishna of the Hindus, the Messiah of the Christians and the Jews, the Buddha of the Budhists, and the Imam-al-Mahdi of the Muslims and the Messiah.

If someone's more interested, just hollar at me, I'll gladly answer any questions ;)

I'm a Christian.

I don't follow traditions for the sake of tradition, or do anything out of obligation or fear of punishment if I don't do the right thing, but simply as a natural reaction of gratitude. I don't even like to use the word "religion", because it sounds so rigid and forced; I just think of it as my friendship and relationship with my Creator and Saviour.

I devote my life to Christ because I believe he took the bullet for me, and I'm secure in knowing that I've got nothing to fear once I die. Not because I've lived a better life than anyone else, or because I'm a better person, or because I've gone to church more or said more prayers, but because I simply accepted the free gift of Salvation offered to me.

divine grace.. are there baptists in korea?

I am a follower and devout member of Thizzlam. We believe in da holy of all holies, Mac Dre. We feel that it is our duty to go dumb and wear our stunna shades wit pride. Hyphy is not just a religion, it is a way of life. Aint no one go dumber than us. Sunday Mass (which actually takes place everyday) involves a ghost ride through the center of town in our scrapers, complete with a heavy dose of 18 purple juice and a few thizzles.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions

True. But just because a bunch of wannabe black East Bay suburbanites live out their own MTV2-ready version of "Saved By The Bell" does not make it a religion. :p

following and taking order is a thing, taking good examples and messages is something else. I like some messages and deeds of the prior pope, like meeting the guy in prison who tried to kill him, and forgiving him, that was a quality :agree:

I don't think what you said was any offensive.
I woulda had him sodomized by a 10 foot dildo, to be honest.

I've heard that he'll "have a sword in hand (and something else in the other) and he'll kill the pigs". But I've never heard "cleanse" the earth. Where are you gettin that from?
