Joan Laporta confirms “Barcelona are in total agreement with Inter,” but Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto’o and Alexander Hleb must work out personal terms.
“We are in total agreement with Inter,” announced President Laporta on the official Barca website. “But the talks are not over yet, as we need to consent of the players.”
The deal to bring Ibra to Spain will be worth £35m plus Cameroon striker Eto’o and the loan with an option to buy for Hleb.
But there could be problems, as the Blaugrana are also still interested in Valencia hitman David Villa.
“We do have a tentative deal for Ibrahimovic, but it would be early to say which of the two is best – Ibra or Villa. In the end we will consider the best option for Barca.”
Director Txiki Begiristain also commented on the reports that the deal for Ibra had been done.
“There are several options and we must work with them and make the best of things. Ibrahimovic is one of the options open,” he told the Barcelona website.
“It is time for Eto’o to change scenery and Inter would be a good solution for him, especially with both President Moratti and Coach Jose Mourinho showing an interest in him.”
