BTW, these are supposed to be the catagories:

Audi A8 = BMW 7 series, = Benz S-Class
Audi A6 = BMW 5 series, = Benz E-Class

VW Phaeton = Bently = Mercedes Maybach (Audis and Beemers didn't join the race for that elite class)

dont know really... not into the sports models much.

i care about what i can actually ride.
Well that is exactly the point, Alfa Romeo is top in the ETCC I think it's called (European Touring Car Championship), where they race with basically everyday cars, not much is changed for the race version. They have more powerful engines of course. The 156 is kicking the 3 series's ass.

People are still gonna have to go through all this. But do what you all want, its just completely retarded.

I dont think Pheaton can be put with Bentley or the Maybach, no way

Audi A8 = BMW 7 = Mercedes S Class = VW Pheaton

Audi A6 = BMW 5 = Mercedes E class = Volvo S80 = Peugeot 607

Maybach = Bentley = Rolls = Masserati

I think its a crappy conversation too. You should start a new thread and post all the crap in there. Or there should be a chat thread like the lovely ladies over at buffononline have.

Actually, the Audi A8 is only 330 hp.... 5 is not much difference.

you're wrong about the 7-series. the max for the 7-series is 438 hp on the 6.0 L, V12 BMW 760 Li.

Audi has yet re release it's S8. they're a step behind my man.

2004 Audi A8 Large Sedan ( see_2005_Future Vehicle )

Editors' Rating
9.0
Consumer Rating
9.1
MSRP: $69,220 _ _ _ _
Pros: Performance, passenger space, exquisite interior, standard all-wheel drive.
Cons: Shorter-wheelbase version not offered in the states, CD changer mounted in glovebox.
What Edmunds.com says: This fast and comfortable premium luxury sedan easily holds its own against more expensive competitors.

2004 BMW 7 Series Large Sedan

Editors' Rating
8.0
Consumer Rating
8.7
MSRP: $69,995 - $119,195 _ _ _ _
Pros: Superb driving dynamics, highly advanced technology, dizzying array of features, sumptuous furnishings.
Cons: Toys can be distracting from the task at hand, confusing secondary controls, odd styling details.
What Edmunds.com says: A brilliant luxury sedan scarred by senselessly complicated interior controls.

The ratings for the BMW 7 Series are lower than the Audi A8. Hmmm, wonder why?
:D

And by the way, according to Consumer Reports, the Audi A8 does have a high performance 4.2-liter V8 (360 HP). I saw nothing about the BMW 7 having an optional V12; maybe its not out yet.
