Juventus can now use Malta if this goes through...say we want to sign a non-EU player, he can buy Maltese citizenship and then transfer to Juve without the need for a slot for non-EU players. Had this been in place years ago, Juve might have signed Dzeko from Wolfsburg (@Hustini)

If I had that much money, I'd definitely buy the Maltese passport. Libyan passport sucks donkey balls these days :tdown:

    They raised it now after discussion with the EU, i think the passport is 650,000, you must buy a property of at least 350,000, bu government stocks of at least 150,000 and live in Malta a certain number of months.

    They are saying that an ex-formula 1 world champion, a current South American football and a pop star are all interested in the passport

    I took it as ex to mean retired world champion, but i guess it could be a former champion that is still racing

    Been there, done that. Would be better without all the tourists getting there with boats all the time... I'm more curious about meeting one of the four citizens of Comino. Must be wonderful people.
