Ciro just proved his incompetence today. I mean with the squad he has, he should be competing for the title not going out from the first round.

I don't agree that a complete revolution is needed. But i don't think players like DP and Camo should be guaranteed starters, instead it should depend on their form. Trez can be kept on the bench if he wants to stay, he can be useful. Canna should just be sold, he's a complete joke anyway, has been so for 3 years now.

Next season at most.
But even if we keep the old players that we have, it's not like we'll do much better next season.

Cannavaro 36
Del Piero 35
Camoranesi 33
Legrottaglie 33
Grosso 32
Trezeguet 32

6 of our 10 field players were, to put it simply, OLD.

Is it strange at all that Bayern were faster than us in every part of the pitch? Combine this with the awful coaching and you get what you saw tonight and you saw against Bordeaux, and even some average Italian teams.
We were slower to every ball, we looked tired, there is no off the ball movement, we have no plan and the players don't complement each other, they can't keep possession.

With a new coach slowly we might improve the passing and possession, but we won't become faster, the old legs won't become less tired, they can't do better off the ball movement because their legs won't let them.
Also take into account that we had:

Gomez 24
Lahm 26
Badstuber 20
Mueller 20
Robben 25
Schweinsteiger 25

Much younger in most major positions.

This was what was said at the start of the season :sergio:

Italian FA tactical coach Franco Ferrari believes Juventus will play just like Barcelona next season, giving Bianconeri fans a chance to dream.

"There will be plenty of possession. Short passes, making the ball work and waiting for an opening to hurt the opponent. Juve's style will be like the Spanish national side, Barcelona, or how Milan played under [Carlo] Ancelotti," Ferrari told Tuttosport.
Ha-ha-ha! Do you realize how hard I'm laughing reading that shit.

That quote is just UNREAL. We are playing the _exact_ opposite of what he's describing. Scared, clumsy and slow players that have no interest in keeping possession. No patience, no movement, no pace, no flair, no nothing.
Juve's style is like the Uzbekistan national side, Stoke, or how Albinoleffe played during the 19:th century.

NEVER should have been brought back. Never. But he was, and the clowns love it.

Well this guy was a joke today, so much for his great leadership at the back, the goddamn mercenary.

It's about time there was Superga thread round here.

I assume that is what the thread title is referring to.

I remember you agreed very strongly with me, back when i said he was past it and that he shouldn't be brought back. Lately he has done very well to prove us right.

He was never the same after the 2006 WC.

true man but we had 1-0, we were running a good game, they were with their top man out, bordeaux the same. Oh, and you remembered me of milan..they won the ucl with the oldest team in history, and we with this squad can't pull an equal? Why did we buyed them (canna, grosso)? To sell them next year? And to think that some of the fellas around here laughed about cronios thoughts, especially when he said that we are falling in mediocrity...we buyed only mediocre players. I'm very confused about this team's future..this failure will affect us financially and our image too.

Of course. Any logical person would disagree with bringing him back, let alone allow him to START for us.

But folks still have the World Cup jammed up their asses, apparently.

Canna is not our problem, he is doing ok for his age, what more do you want from him ? The problem is our collective defending especially from headers at set pieces, look at the goals Bayern scored tonight, and Inter and Bordeaux (home and away). This is the problem our coach has to resolve and he failed...completely !

That will also be a complete revolution, Fred.

It's impossible to sell them all or force them to retire. They have contracts, fat contracts, and we won't be able to sell all of them. I never had that in my mind.

But simply stopping to depend on them will be a revolution. Sell some, keep some, bench those who OBVIOUSLY can't keep up with the football played in Europe. That will also be getting rid of them. Not giving them guaranteed football, finding players who will give us speed at least and who'll better fit in the new style (which means that they should know how to play football, not just to be a Molinaro).

The present is terrible and we can't build the future with 32-26 old players.

but apart from not wanting cannavaro ... you can surely come up with an alternative centre back we could have got with the same money ? aaah, i see you will tell me now, that we better be off without cannavaro at all and the team from last year. so you like chiellini and legro or in the case of injury you really love to see some more of this knezevic ?

Diego: 'I deserve to be jeered' Tuesday 8 December, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diego admits “the fans were right to jeer me” during his dismal performance in the 4-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.

“We know that we have missed an important objective,” he said after Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League.

“It’s a difficult time, but we have to work together as a team and find our way out.”

The Brazilian was the big summer signing along with Felipe Melo, coming for £20m from Werder Bremen, but has so far struggled to make an impact.

He gave the ball away repeatedly against Bayern and was booed off the field when substituted.

“The fans were right to jeer me, as we did badly tonight and it’s normal they protest. I am the first to say I need to do better. We need to work hard in training and improve.”

This defeat comes just days after the 2-1 victory over Inter and Diego says it was purely psychological.

“The attitude was very different against Inter. We had that unity and desire to win. Bayern came out more determined and knew what they wanted, that made the difference, in my view.”
