Capello relays alot on Zlatan in the offensiv tactics.
It's obvious that Juve has changed gear a little bit since Zlatan came.
I don't think that Del Piero and Zlatan is a good match-up.
Sure, they played a couple of good games together last season but to me, they're too much alike.
They both want to receive the ball with the back to the opponents goal.
The difference, I think is that Del Piero wanna receive it a bit further down than Zlatan.
This generates that it's much easier for Trez to cooperate with Zlatan in the offense when they play together and he isn't as isolated as he can become when he plays with DP.
I'm sure I'm stabbing myself in the back now, but to me Del Piero is finished.
I saw practically all Juve games last season and I wasn't impressed with DP, at all.
He scored 14 goals but first of all a couple of them was assisted by Zlatan (which contradicts my previous statement that DP and Zlatan doesn't fit together:)). Second of all, a couple of them where penalties(don't know how many).
And third of all I don't think he had an especially good season.
I'm surprised to see that people who want to see DP in the starting-11, criticises Zlatan for losing the ball in unnecessary positions.
I thought DP did that all season long last year.
Well, I'm sure the discussion will go on.
I'm just happy I've joined this forum so that I have as passionate people to bounce opinions to.

Juventus - Ascoli 3-0. Ibrahimovic 2, Nedved 1.
I agree with this, I watched DP all season last season but I don't think he did as well as many people here make him out to be. Sure he scored 14 goals and had 2-3 above 7.5 performances but most of his performances were about 6.5 which ofcourse can be considered good considering DP's performances before last season.
Still, his performances last season definately dont merit a starting position, and his early performances this season indicates the same. Now if he were to prove me wrong and put in back to to back spectacular performances then I would consider him first eleven material.
It is time for DP to move on, NONETHELESS, I am upset at ELkann for making such A STUPID comment. It is not how DP should be treated, he is a proffesional eventhough IMO his performance has been lacking for the past few years. I can't remember DP ever making a stupid comment or an emotional one at anybody. He was a great symbol and player for Juve, Elkann should watch his Mouth.

TBH, I started to love DP since he first came to Juve, but I like the "nowaday " DP more than the one before his knee injuried. At his prime time, he was oftenly complained by the media & opponents about his unneccessary fouls and bad language to opposite players on the field, but this were always covered by his merits with Juventus. And since the happen of his injuried, especailly after the passed away of his Dad, he seems changed and started to become a professional athlete and an example to his teammates. This year he even works harder than ever to fight for the spot on the club and a spot on Azzurri to play for the World Cup. Under Cappello, I don't know whether he will success or failure, he surely no regret at all with his given effort and I truly wish him the best in this season.:cheesy:

That only happened once, against Real Madrid during the 95/96 CL match which we lost 1-0 at the Bernabeu. He was always soft-spoken and quite shy and never did any bad foul.

During the Real-Juve game DP was very nervous...we weren't playing that well and ended up losing 1-0. During the game TV cameras were showing a frustrated DP on the pitch and the next day an Italian priest was complaining how DP was swearing all the time during the game (I didn't notice at first, only when this priest pointed it out). There was a bit of controversy but it died out then. Things that happen during a tough game imo.

But that was the only time I ever really saw him frustrated and getting pissed off during a game. Probably cos he was still very young.

No,I meant what I said!
BTW Jeeks, what is your prognosis of today's game?
Count on me means you can depend on me for doing something, count me in means I am with you.

As for today's game, I expect a win and I am looking forward to a new formation or at least a new starting line-up. Capello surprised me against Empoli with the line-up but I think he did that because he wanted the same players to play a game before the CL clash. He has the same problem now against Udinese but his favourites has already played 2 or 3 games together, I think he can start shuffling.

The first game against Milan, it was Milan's fault that they couldn't win and the goal Ascoli scored was from setpieces. The second game they played Lecce, need I say more?
