It's a fact actually. The only reason why I would participate in this sort of discussion is if some posters are speaking false truths about our players, especially when it's between Zlatan and DP. None of us hate Del Piero, infact I love him very much. But I will not stand for people who don't look at things objectively. In an argument you must point out the weaknesses in the other poster's case, and in this thread that means showing them by hand what Del Piero has done this season- unfortunately that means criticising Del Piero. If people would not speak rubbish about our captain we would not have to criticise him. It's as simple as that.
I feel the exact same way as you do, but Im in the other direction, I see DP being critisized for no good reason and start defending him, and try to argue in his case. I didnt bash Zlatan or any other player in fact I think that Zlatan will someday replace DP but not yet.
So looking objectively at DP this season, dont you think that he played well and scored some descisive goals this season. Lets be objective and forget all what have been said can you rate DP this season?

I don't know about your Bosnian football knowledge, but how can you laugh at a player without really knowing him?
Perhaps I don't know him Like Zlatan does, But one thing am sure of Great leaders can always make it to Serie A, or atleast EPL, not playing for an average football club in Germany.

Are ALL NT captains playing in the Serie A, EPL or whichever league you consider highly rated?

I think in ONLY one game Del Piero was our best player on the field, wake up from your dreams, you might miss the bus to the school.
1 game Jeeks, one game? If you wanna sound like Don, this is not the way you should do it. I know your better than that.

When you'll find the right replcament for Del Piero, then you can come back to announce us, untill now, he's our Flag.
Quality wise? We did have Miccoli but was not given a chance. Now we have Zlatan and Mutu or Cassano.

As a flag we have players who have been with us for as long or almost as long as DP (Tacchinardi, Montero, Pessotto, etc...)

You went to another point, Zlatan once stated that His fav player is miles better leader than our Captain(which kept me laughing the whole night) Anyhow If he's Sergej Barbarez better leader than Del Piero, I guess some Interests could atleast be shown.

If not 1, it was not many more games where he was THE BEST on the field.

Del Piero was the RIGHT one to replace the Legend Baggio, Zlatan? I doubt that happening althought he has a bright future infront of him, I just don't see him the next Del Piero. Mutu? Yeah, Right (marijuana can never replace our legend) Cassano?, Gimme a break.

I think what Zlatan is trying to say is the ability to lead a team, something Del Piero does not accomplish all the time. IMO a leader is a player that has to bring enthusiasm to the team to perform at tough times. Many times when the team is not performing you see Del Piero crashing down with them.

Once again, I don't see why Zlatan cannot take over for Del Piero. I mean he has the talent to become one of the best forwards in the world.
Yes Andrew he can be the best forward in the world, the same with henry, Still that doesn't make him a true Leader to Replace Del Piero.
