Not that you really need me to tell you this but obviously Del Piero has been a Top 3 player for us in just about each and every season that he played here, with maybe a few select exceptions, meanwhile Totti has been inferior in every aspect outside of a couple of seasons where he hit his peak and when the team around him was also top level.

I personally wouldn’t wish for any of our club legends to be part of the mess we are currently witnessing, nor do i want to see them associated with failures where they actually have very little power of decision on due to the board being either stubborn or too broke to take the necessary measures when needed.

Chiellini already took a huge risk associating himself with this current bunch but in his case the hope is that he is currently only doing his apprenticeship so that he can then take on a more important role in the near future.
