My first watching football just saw some highlight of Maradona on television(I think from the late 80s), then come the USA world cup, this World Cup is clear my introduction to Football, I started to watch the game more intense and watch more highlight, then I really interested with Roberto Baggio in that world cup, and start following Juventus. And when I learn about Del Piero, it's start everything for me and Juventus for sure

Then Daniel Fonseca come in to the fray lol, my name is Daniel F..... so I have the same initial with him. When I play football with my friends, they gave me name "Boneng" which is means someone with that kind of teeth (the one like Fonseca teeth / Ronaldinho teeth). Eventough my teeth isnt like that

Follow Juventus through high and low, joined Juventuz pretty early but just as a silent reader and lately I start to comment more

I lob ADP

but platini can’t be overlooked
platini bandwagoner here. my first football memory is the '86 world cup. only maradona was a match for platini, he's a proper goat candidate, a top shelf player historically too. and not a lot of juve players have a shot at the "best ever" at their respective position. scirea, buffon, platini, zidane. that's the list.

everyone loves alex though. but for him the competition is simply too tough.

Different eras. Football was more technical back then, teams werent pressing like in Del Piero's time, more space to operate. Football was more entertaining.

Del Piero covered succesfuly both eras, from mid 90s to 2010 with transition inbetween. His longevity speaks volumes. He became top Serie A goalscorer at the age of 34, won everything with Juve and WC with Italy. For me personally the top Juve goalscorer in our history and the player with most apps is the biggest legend. Shame that assists werent recorded for most part. He would probably be at the top as well.

Not disagreeing with you but I just think it's funny that most people still over look the fact that Ronaldo played for Juventus

that's a good point. he didn't spend too much time here and left in a hurry, i don't consider him a juve legend at all, so i simply forgot about him. he's of course one of the best wingers to ever play.

del piero is undoubtedly the number 1 juventus legend for the reasons you listed. pre-injury he also was among the very best players of his era. he's also not a goat candidate at his position for me. these aren't mutually exclusive

Yea Ronaldo definitely isn't a legend. He did win 2 Scudetto and a Coppa Italia at Juve though and should be considered when speaking about the best players to ever play for Juventus.

When I say Del Piero is our greatest ever player I'm not just talking about playing ability.

Most people will agree that talent wise it's between Platini, Zidane and Baggio. Now Ronaldo should be added to the debate.
