I was 10 when he scored the goal right before that celebration (against Monaco in the CL semi final).
I was already a big Del Piero fan at that time. But I remember my dad coming home the next day with a newspaper. Honestly I don't ever remember him buying a newspaper. I know he reads them now, but probably at his job. We definitely did not have newspapers around the house. But there he was the next day with a copy, because the sports section headlined "Del Piero, hattrick hero".
It's pretty silly, but it's one of my favorite memories of childhood. My dad buying a newspaper for me just because he knew I liked this guy.
