I don't care if he's a legend. I just care about his poor performances for Juve.

Platini is a legend but we don't persist in playing him.
Platini is a big bag full of shit. With his disgusting "Wir haben es nicht gewusst"-attitude towards Heizel.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean? And who/what is Heizel?...Or do you mean Heysel?

Last time I checked, he was our top scorer.
Well done. Your statistical ability is to be commended. Why didn't I think of looking at his goal stats?

Yes he is our top scorer, just out of interest, how many goals has he scored against BIG teams?

Just out of interest: WHY ON EARTH IS THAT IMPORTANT? It's important whether or not his goals bring us points and they do. God, what the hell is wrong with you people? He's our topscorer! But because it's Del Piero, suddenly it's important that he doesn't score against big team (which he actually does, but hey).

My point was, against the smaller teams, with or without DP, Juve will still most probably win, if it's not DP doing the scoring, then somebody will as Juve are likely to overpower the 'lesser' teams.

In the big games, when Juve need all their players to perform, and the 'star' players are the ones who are capable of turning the game with a moment of brilliance - in these games DP is non-existant.

We don't necessarily need DP to be brilliant against the Sienas, the Regginas and the Atalantas...but we do need him to be brilliant against Inter, Milan, even Liverpool. The games where we need a spark, or someone who can make a difference.

In these games DP tends to do very little, if anything at all - that is why the point I made was important.

When we need him, he does not perform. That's a fvcking big deal.

I made a whole thread about that a year, year and a half ago perhaps, called "Del Piero: a hero or a choker?". General consensus was that he's a choker.

I'd have to agree with that - any 'unbiaised' person who watches the matches would have to agree as well.

It just shows how we keep having the same old arguments again and again doesn't it?

No. That's just plain ignorant. So called Del Piero lovers get to be bashed all the time for using "if" and "could have been", but now you're doing just the same. The fact is that Del Piero has brought us a lot of points this year, is our topscorer and has scored an incredible amount of goals throughout his career for Juve. So saying Del Piero has been shit this season means you know crap about football. He doés score, you know. And that's all he needs to do.
